Reading comprehension really is low on this subforum, isn't it? Pissmaster's only been around for 3 years, yet his post count surpasses mine. The amount of posts he made in a year is 2/3rds of the posts I've made since I joined.

That is, unless you're trying to tell me 2.5k posts a year is having a life.

You know whats a healthy life.
Doing analysis of other peoples post rates.

The advent of Little Gay Nick Fuentes has ruined people's appreciation of irony

WW2 would have been exciting to watch if we were around back then. The whole world was on fire and there would have been some big offensive happening somewhere at all times.
You'd also be on some shithole Pacific island, tired, hungry, suffering from the worst swamp-ass of your life, and terrified of falling asleep because you don't want Tojo to sneak up on you and slit your throat.

Disagree. Information flowed super slowly and was heavily censored. At best we’d have a vague notion a major battle was happening - and usually about a day behind events.

3 planes with no callsigns leaving Ukrainian airspace, could they be evac planes?

War isn't as fast as a lot of people seem to think it is, but this does strike me as a bit slower than what you normally expert of Russia. Historically, the Russian gameplan has been: 1) Unleash a massive fuckton of artillery. 2) ZERG RUSH!

Maybe even Russia is at the point where they really want to limit the casualties in this shitshow. Great Patriotic War worked, but holy shit was that a lot of dead people.
Maybe they want to actually just keep Ukraine as a functional buffer country not just turn it in to dust and murder ton of civilians.

the difference is that the allied troops absolutely knew they were invading Europe.
Yea... So? The circumstances are different but the logic is exactly the same. If Russia told them they were invading Ukraine today then all the borderline retarded Slavs would have changed their tinder bios to Ukrainian. Not telling them is better tactically than telling them.

Dear fucking god,is every single army in the entire world made of spineless eunuchs???
There's an old saying that 1/4 of soldiers do 3/4 of the damage because the other 3/4 mostly either shit their pants and don't shoot at all or point their rifle randomly in the air and fire off a few rounds instead of actually fighting

Re: The captured Russian soldiers claiming that they thought they were in a training exercise.

This lines up with stuff I've read from Inside the Soviet Army. Though it was written by a Soviet Defector in 1978 (And so it could be propaganda, outdated, inaccurate, or all of the above), it seems to line up with reports such as those. So I feel its worth bringing up in a time such as this.
Seems like disinfo. T-34s were encountered on the second day of the invasion. Although they had excellent armor for 1941, most soviet tank units near the frontier were part of new formations with poor organization, insufficient infantry and especially insufficient motorized transport for fuel and infantry. So they were without infantry support and were torn to shreds by german infantry units with anti-tank guns. Same went with the older t-26 tank formations, obviously.

It then goes on to mention V1 and V2 rockets as if they were tactical weapons the germans planned on deploying in 1941. No, they were inaccurate strategic weapons, meant to cause mass destruction of industry, urban infrastructure and loss of civilian life, and the V2 first flew operationally in 1944.
