Russians seem to be moving in from the Northwest to capture the airfield at Anatovka, which the VDV previously failed at.

The battle for Kyiv will probably start today. Unless the Russians will attempt to besiege the city and starve it out,
Starving the Ukrainian resistance would be incredibly on-brand

We've already had reports of Ukraine mayors and people in Ukraine's government giving info to the Russians, how sure are you of that?

Which goes back to what I said about judas in the office.
>Foreign country invades their homeland
>Implying the vast majority would not be motivated to protect their home and win
>Ignoring the surge of volunteers before the invasion even started
But I guess a few turncoats trying to save their own skin means all of Ukraine has given up huh.
Man I wish you could rate people dumb here

Most of the accounts of the fighting and what is being targeted seem highly inaccurate. The stuff from social media and streaming is the most interesting. Anything said by a government or the mainstream media seems to be totally useless.
Most of the media are stuck in the past as far as now to cover a war. They are still convinced that they way you do it is to go to the place and lock yourself in a hotel room.
Anything a government admits is probably true, anything they claim is probably false. Civilian video is good at small pictures, and very bad at giving the big one.

This sounds like the last thing Russia should do, I'd be surprised if they even tried.

Surely the plan is a smash 'n grab. Smash Ukraine and Western pride and grab land.

Yup, but moving into a city of several million with only a few thousand mechanized troops could end in a disaster.

Especially as most of the civilian population seems to still be in the city. No indiscriminate bombing of buildings is allowed for PR reasons.

When those turncoats give info that put troops in danger and you end up losing ground due to it, defeat gets closer and quicker, and yes it is demoralizing, it's what leads to surrender for some.

Both could be happening. Remember, the Russian separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk are mostly or at least in large part former Ukrainian citizens.
