Or...boredom. That’s usually the fate of these things. People just get bored and move on to the next trendy cause. That’s what makes space for the pushback to gain momentum. Their biggest problem is that performative support is never going to last because it is the exact sort of support that fades as the boredom sets in.
I also like to think that problem troons popping up who can‘t be concealed - Loudoun troon rapist, WiSpa flasher, 26-yo tranny who raped a 10-yo girl getting “punished” by being placed in a girl’s juvenile detention center for two years, males calling themselves enbies and getting to sleep and shower with 10-yo girls for days on end, etc - are making an impact.
You combine natural cyclical boredom with a trend with increasing cognitive dissonance and the mental energy it takes to fend off “wait that thing I was told to keep saying never happens keeps happening but I can’t deal with that since it means my enemies were right” thoughts...I think that’s accelerating the fading enthusiasm from “allies.”
Plus troons can’t help themselves from catastrophising and histrionically accusing their “allies” of facilitating genocide lmao like...just so exhausting. People are *tired*.

Never in my life would I have seen someone say that puberty (the natural process of becoming a man/woman) is such a burden as to constitute a life or death struggle. I'm sure it can be a confusing time, but to say that teenagers actually need help with it kind of implies they're either too stupid or too weak to deal with something every single person goes through, in life.

Mate, you, behindyourightnow, UEL and loads of other people on this site should really collaborate somehow and get all this stuff into a book. You'd have to self publish and stay anonymous but my god when this shit-bubble finally bursts your thoughts would be viewed as revelatory.
I've read some of the books recommended around here and loads of the articles and online stuff and nobody is as honest, incisive and unencumbered as you guys. Even people trying to write sense are still somewhat walking on eggshells.
I know gushing isn't done around here but some of the commentary on this thread is jaw-dropping, cutting right through the noise and hitting home. You can't read stuff like this anywhere else.
My apologies for suggesting you should all abandon your free time but seriously your opinions would make so many sit up and listen if only they were out there being acknowledged.

You know, I never understood people who say a simple word could make them squeamish - a classic example is "moist".
However, the modern troon has ruined the word euphoria so thoroughly and completely for me that even seeing the word in the context of the HBO show still makes me want to immediately throw up. These tweets for twats are definitely peak trans material. The situation in Texas merely affirms that “trans youth” may not actually be trans but rather confused and hurting, so to funnel them into transitioning can be incredibly harmful. But these fucking TRAs are acting like they just set up a death camp overnight. And it’s so obvious why TRAs and reeeing supporters are so against it: because the Texas decision inhibits their ability to groom young people into being like them. Misery loves company, and trannies are misery magnets of their own design. This is a first-world problem, while the Ukraine is being invaded. Also, trans people can’t stand that Ukraine is getting so much attention; the people being hurt are not trannies, but ordinary people. It makes trans and their handmaidens look even more ridiculous by comparison.

Threat of violence might be a factor for in person conversations, but I don't think it factors much in abstract discussions. Women have a totally different social dynamic. I didn't realize how different it was till an engineer we were on boarding complained that men didn't take her seriously. I told her that men have to fight and get aggressive with other men to be taken seriously in technical fields. You usually don't get automatic respect and deference just because of credentials. Sometimes you have to aggressively tell people that you are better than them and they should shut up. She wasn't conformable with that. She had a lot of trouble with the thought she'd have to piss off and potentially humiliate her coworkers. I think she would have had trouble doing that if her coworkers were all women.
I think it might stem from an innate instinct to avoid violence and get along, but I think most of it is because they're trying to accommodate someone who says they want nothing more than to fit in - even though their behavior is never going to perfectly align. I think MTFs get extra social chances for the same reason I've seen other minorities get extra chances when they should have been thrown out- people are trying to be inclusive.
That looks like the most desperate "out" of wanting to be trans I've ever seen.
It shows a deeply flawed understanding of reality. Other than say, that sucks if I lived in texas I'd vote this person out and filing a court case when someone is harmed there isn't anything to be done.

Unfortunately I don't have the free time (reading Chris Chan forums and funny troon Reddit are what I do to relax, so if I tried to turn it into something "serious" I would burn out quickly) and I don't consider anything I have written here to be anything special, but I agree that there is a real hunger out there for honesty on this issue (not just due to frustration or other negative emotions, but because the whole phenomenon is so symbolic of so many issues in our society and that makes it so damn interesting) and no one is allowed to touch it. I tell myself that at at least maybe the historians will do a good job with it.
I have developed the same reaction to the word "folks," even if it's not written with the shudderingly cringe "folx" misspelling.

At least three reasons this didn't happen:
1. Gay men want to be with real men.
2. Pretty much all the "fuck and suck" saunas were done in by Grindr and COVID has killed off most of the remaining ones. I'm in the Bay Area and SF, gay capital of the USA, has maybe 1 or 2 legit gay saunas left.
3. None of these posts ever really happened.

If the US government decides to deport a bunch of illegal immigrants, you might see people saying ‘hey, Honduras is an incredibly violent country and it’s partly the US’ fault, these people will die’, but nobody implies that 34 year old Latino day laborers are going to kill themselves. Nobody said gay people were going to kill themselves over gay marriage not being legal.
