What was that, 60mm mortar rounds, submunitions (ICM), 40mm grenades?
Seems way too close to the impacts to be an artillery strike. 155mm is considered lethal within ~ 30-50 meters.

No, this used to be the case. You have true believers in charge that are putting these woke people in places of responsibility they are totally unequipped to handle now. Normally a disaster would have to occur and the competent, but politically incorrect, would be placed back in charge, but these people have such disdain for the typical jar head that they would sooner crash the entire institution and everyone in it than be replaced. This is the extreme danger that played out in the late Roman Republic, in prior years it was easy come - easy go; the incoming guy would protect your legacy and prospects while getting some glory for himself, towards the end you get Marius and Sulla actively waging war on each others faction and executing vast amounts of the opposition because they have such disdain for each other. The West is going throw sanctions on Russia but find that it hurts Europe more than it hurts Russia because Putin had prepared for this since 2014, he did the unthinkable and divested from western instruments and made his own, and worked with China to ensure the flow of goods would continue regardless of Western meddling.
