How to plug in USB the right way - A simple guide on understanding the USB plug and how to plug it in

Wrong, the actual way to plug in a usb c plug is to try one way, flip it 180 degrees and try the second orientation, flip it 180 degrees again and try the third way, and it will go in.

Micro-usb sucks shit seriously it costed me 3 decent cables and 7 cheap knockoffs ( lol i aint payin 10$ for wire that breaks down that easily

I think its lack of durability is why they went to C and made it larger. Micro-B was just too small to be reliable, not to mention it wasn't reasonable to fit any more pins in which was necessary to make it faster.

C is the USB we deserved all along. USB, when it was introduced, was a victim of its time. Making a C type cable wasn't even possible. I'm just glad we finally got to C. C will be the connector of choice for the next 20+ years. Anyone buying new devices for their computer should ensure that it is C-type otherwise in a few years they will find themselves stuck using a dongle for conversion, and as we have all seen before, dongles are garbage.

The motherboard I bought in 2015 and the motherboard I bought in 2021 have the same number of USB-C ports: one. But they both have a ton of USB-A ports!

The USB-C adoption rate is so slow that future-proofing with it feels like a meme now. Like, I remember when a model of Macbook Pro was released with four USB-C (or Thunderbolt, whatever) ports and no As at all, and the consoomers surrounding that insisted that USB-C was the future and that you can just use a dongle now, but everything's gonna be USB-C soon enough anyway.

and that was 2016, it's now 2022, Apple consoomers are notoriously snobby about using anything but the newest models, so now that Macbook is this weird computer that still needs adapters for just about everything, but it's also old by Macbook standards. It'll be really funny if Apple drops support for all Intel Macs before USB-C finally starts overtaking USB-A, and that seems likely.

Hopefully longer than that. Hell, the standard 3.5mm audio jack that's on everything that isn't gay and retarded is a smaller variant of the phone connector from ~1878, and the RCA connector we all grew up watching DVDs over predates World War 2. I like the do-it-all nature of USB-C, and I also like not having a drawer full of old cables that only work with a few things from certain decades

Hopefully longer than that. I completely agree with you. The glacial pace of USB-C adoption was caused by the latest USB still offering USB A/B, however, now that USB 4 is only USB C, USB A & B, in all their retarded forms, are officially deprecated. Everyone is finally "all in" on USB-C in just the last few years since Intel agreed to use it as their only connector Thunderbolt 4 connector (which means Apple is on board as well, I think, they are still using thunderbolt on ARM Macs, right? I'm a little out of date when it comes to Mac) and in USB 4 they have made PCIe, DisplayPort, and Power Delivery modes mandatory, so nobody will really need to use anything else for any kind of connection ranging from external monitors to hard drives to charging. With USB 4 the USB-C should finally become dominant. There is also talk that the HDMI people are thinking of switching to USB-C since it is so much smaller and easier to implement than the current HDMI plug.

USB-C has a very serious oversight in how the plug is kept fixed in place inside the socket. Every bend, every pull and lift you do chips away at the socket's lifespan as opposed to its predecessors or Lightning. Until this gets fixed in 100% of devices, it's unreliable in the worst way - where you have to replace the socket as opposed to the cable.
