Yeah I was kinda disappointed there wasn't an immediate Grozny 2.0. Relieved, of course, but also mildly disappointed.

Too late for that. This is honestly looking like a possible repeat of Grozny, especially since Russia is now calling in extra reserves from other parts of the country.

Hold on, @Disheveled Human , you keep bringing up this apartment building shit... you aren't talking about the Russian aircraft that was shot down and happened to inadvertently hit an apartment building, are you? I've been in this thread for 100's of pages and unless I missed something during my sleep I haven't seen Russians indiscriminately hitting apartment buildings...

Please do enlighten me if I missed it, I'm genuinely curious.

I’m off to bed, my take so far is that while it is admirable that Ukraine is holding out, inevitably they will lose Kiev. On the propaganda front Ukraine is posturing as much as possible and succeeding at it as well, though Russia’s silence is telling me that things aren’t as positive as they seem, maybe on both sides. It’s a shame, I thought we’d get at least one video of gopniks skullfucking each other, maybe tomorrow.

What makes you think Ukraine's population is 40% in favor of the invaders?

If it's the "they talk Russian" spiel, I've already pointed out in another comment that this is misleading nonsense. Most ex-Soviet states have people who talk Russian comfortably, many videos of Ukrainians fighting against Russians in this conflict have Ukrainians speaking Russian and they don't seem to be pro-Russian in the slightest.

There a quite a number of moderate or traditional GOPe style folks who thinks like that as well, in reference to not calling Putin the worst names in the English language.
