That would give DeeDee time to get his bail taken care of, then he walks without having spent much time in actual jail. But if that was the case would he have been released so quickly? If someone threatens self-harm is there something like a mandatory hold for a specific amount of time? There must be.

Oh ok so PDs are known for charging DV "victims" with abuse, especially when the "victim" is completely physically disabled and there is zero evidence. In Canada there is a thing called a s503- PD can hold a suspect up to 24hrs for questioning but they then need to prove probably cause to a JOP. That the PD told Chantel they are holding for *specifically* 24hrs means he was only in for questioning without probable cause. Ergo, he is not in a cell waiting to be charged and she is not lawyering up to defend abuse charges herself. Incorrect on all counts.

I can't stand Nader but the story of him crying comes from Chantal who makes shit up and whose own story of what the police said was going to happen doesn't quite line up. Not to mention we have a whole ass post here documenting her lies that are fucking proven.

She didn't call the police from the ER. She didn't call the police after he'd left for work. She didn't run to the police after one of their fights. No, she went to the police after another woman had been living with him for two weeks and he said he was going to file something against her. She sang the whole way and ranted. She admitted it was her being vindictive.

I have no doubt he has yelled at her. I'm not sure about being physically violent because her story keeps changing. She provokes things and never includes that, which further muddied the waters. Shoving someone to get them away from you or make them stop following you is different than doing it because you're just violent. Chantal is abusive as well and we've seen it towards Peetz and her own Mother to a lesser degree. Her mother says don't film me, she does and is aggressive in her behavior and does "rat face" to try to make the behavior cute and quirky. It's not.

Chantal and Nader are mutually abusive and have harassed one another. I would venture Chantal has taken it one step further. Look as the number and hours of live streams. How long DeeDee refused to engage.

While I loathe Nader I do not think any country's justice system should be used to soothe one's ego. No one should sit in jail because the relationship ended badly and one side isn't happy. Abuse allegations shouldn't be a weapon easily wielded by either gender. Just because we don't like someone doesn't mean they deserve jail. Personally, I hope they both lose monetization over this. That would be justice.

If the RCMP lay charges against Nader (big if) there most likely won't be a trial, but a docket day he needs to be present for. The crown prosecutor will most likely recommend a peace bond. These typically last 12 months and usually you are told to "keep the peace" by not having contact with the victim or go to their address. There are other things that can be involved such as not consuming alcohol or drugs (with periodic testing to ensure this), not owning weapons, etc. If he breaches any of the conditions, he will be arrested. He will have the peace bond on his record but it's not a criminal conviction or a guilty verdict. He can also try to get one against Chantal as well.
