Seriously, it's like whenever Biden does mess up like he did with China, his supporters always try to find a way to blame it on Trump anyways.

"Trump met with an envoy for a large country that keeps thousands of nukes pointed at us in 2017, just like his Democratic predecessor. What did he know about the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, and when did he know it?"

just a bunch of midwits grasping at straws about "microchiped" soccer balls, saying whatever it takes to prove to themselves they didn't let the astroturfed pro-Biden zeitgeist of 2020 play them like a fiddle. They've so convinced themselves that Biden was this erudite elder statesman who could bring back normalcy that they will overlook all of his incessant failings through any mental gymnastics necessary. Especially telling is that tweet from people who are delusional that somehow this disaster will help "win the culture war against the GOP" when the only thing it's done is make Biden look helpless and made war-weary Americans on both sides of the aisle paranoid that we're about to start another boondoggle. He hasn't come out of this looking better, I just saw a new NPR article admitting he's only at 39% approval and that's according to a bunch of normie polls that love to oversample Democrats
1) He accepted a soccerball microchipped by Putin? Even assuming that did happen (note : I actually don't find this implausible given a story I read about how either some US Ambassador or State official received a "gift" from the Soviets that was bugged), how could that have been useful to the Russians? Seriously. For all I know Trump gave the ball to Barron, and told him to have fun. Real freaking useful.

Apparently he did, but it was just a commercial Adidas ball with an RFID chip embedded in it as a promotional World Cup thing. the kvetching is just a boomer retard who either doesn't know the difference between RFID and surveillance equipment and doesn't know that all gifts are scrutinized by the SS, or just doesn't care about the truth so long as it lets him shriek about Trump on twitter

After office, Bush secretly went to the battlefield and fought off the enemy himself. That how he became retarded. Too much battle fatigue.
I can believe it. The man has military-grade reflexes when it comes to dodging shoes, he's probably Neo-esque when it comes to something as tiny as bullets.

As if the Secret Service wouldn't immediately check out anything you gave to the president, lol. If I had a staff of people who'd go over everything given to me with a fine-toothed comb I'd just graciously accept all gifts.

How can people possibly believe that dems don't have a massive propaganda network on their side? They have the majority of newspapers, television stations, Hollywood studios, social media sites, hr departments, college professors, and almost every other institution of power pumping out Republican bad, Orange Man Bad propaganda 24 hours a day. I used to think that these people were trolls but I have met far too many who have told me things like this in person. Sawyer's Mom here has the perfect solution. Just ignore the bad stuff and only report the good stuff. She doesn't even realize there is nothing good coming out of this administration.

Just look at those things they list. None of that helps when people are barely hanging on after two years of covid bullshit. Inflation at 40 year highs, utility and gasoline bills through the roof due to WH energy policy, grocery store shelves bare for certain items, and I'm not even going to mention the issues that parents have with school boards nationwide. Those are the most pressing issues that I see and hear from people but it is like these people are living in an alternate reality.

I don't have children so I only glanced at the info about it, but didn't the child tax credit exist before they did some sleight of hand with it last year? You just got the money from the IRS on your income tax return after filing. To appear they were doing something, they gave out half of the regular amount in six monthly payments and then the other half when you filed a return. Do I have that correct?

The Child Tax credit wasn't exclusively a Democrat thing, it was passed with a substantial bipartisan majority, and it's mostly Republicans trying to bring it back permanently, with Democrats protesting that it's tied to work requirements, naturally.
And that one woman taking credit for Obamacare 10+ years after the fact is telling. I think a lot of its most ardent supporters want universal healthcare for the same reason the Labour party in the UK did: it's a permanent cudgel to demand votes on pain of losing access to healthcare.

Look at how much mileage the Obama administration and Democrats in general got out of saying, "But Bush." The administration would take flak for underperformance on some metric and they'd say, "But Bush did this, But Bush did that." It had its limits, eventually people expect the political party in power to produce results, not excuses, and the midterm was a drubbing, yet the But Bush thing was a great tactic for the democrats for 8 years.

They're already saying Russia wouldn't have its military in Ukraine if it weren't for Trump weakening America, inflation, COVID, etc. Anything they can blame Donald Trump for, they're doing it with gusto.
The Trump Derangement Syndrome is so severe with so many people. I believe we're going to be 20+ years out from the split congress for half the term, investigated out the wazoo, spied on, double-impeached and thoroughly sabotaged Trump administration with Donald Trump long dead and tens of millions of people will be blaming it on how Donald Trump "weakened America"

"This bad thing happening in 2043 wouldn't have happened if Donald Trump hadn't weakened us."
They'll be butt-trumpeting until they're all dead.

I do actually like the Disagree but still love you button. I know it's too be condescending to those in A&N that take the bait and then whine to jannies about the stickers they receive, but I personally like having a "Disagree but don't dislike your opinion" button.

Look how long it took for Bush to go from Super Mega Hitler to Democrat ally. Trump sperging, one way or another, will be dead by 2030. It's only still going on now because they are terrified of 2024, the hard press against him is because he's still a threat. If the actual Fascist Populist Gehenna worries the establishment could create an opening for with their current exceptional course happens, they'll cozy on up to Trump too if it helps them attack their current enemy.

Basically, Orange Man Bad isn't a movement with legs, it's a marketing strategy that has to be maintained. Lots of people still hum jingles for dead businesses, and I'm sure there are lots of feckless NPCs that will still parrot their instilled opinions of him in 20 years. He will not however be the elites boogey man/whipping boy in twenty years like he is now.
