Dont get why you would be smug about a country being forced to use alternatives to the corrupt global financial system, but this could be trouble in the future. If Russia makes a competing system to SWIFT then the entire (current) global financial system just got in trouble, because now there is an alternative for everyone who cant/does not want to use SWIFT. This would make "Banning someone from SWIFT" an order of magnitude less effective as a threat/sanction, including for Russia itself that now also gets to control the competitor to Swift.
Its not exactly unrealistic to assume that China and Russia could work together on such an alternative financial system.

but its not the Russia "own" you think it is long-medium term.

I'm sorry but I think you are way overestimating Russia's economic clout. They have great clout when it comes to natural resources, no question. They are NOT a financial powerhouse and are just as corrupt as Ukraine. Why would anyone trust a SWIFT alternative when at any time you have a dictator who can use it as his piggy bank when he needs more tanks.

And also, Russia's economy is not even as big as Texas'.

I'm sceptical an alternative could be created anytime soon. Rival powers have had reason to do it for a long time and have barely made progress.

After they do it, a system for individuals to get around it will appear shortly after. Its a bigger deal for the Russian banking system
than it will eventually be for individuals. The individuals would eventually all go to BTC if they had to as well I think.

The Russians have in theory been preparing for this since it was threatened in 2015. They have their own bad hillbilly system
that can internally substitute for SWIFT. They can hook their system up to the Chinese system (CIPS) and have something.

But the Chinese will totally fuck them over financially in the deal.
