Russia already has its own mini-SWIFT the acronym is TFPS or something that nobody not even Russia uses

The thing about SWIFT is not that the service itself is superior to alternatives, it's that it's basically the only avenue to do business with Western banks. Russia and China can make their own bes frens SWIFT but that isn't gonna get Russia back its access to global capital markets

The Russian one is SPFS. The main Chinese one is CIPS. India also has one (IFSC).

I would expect Russia internally to use SPFS and to use CiPS/IFSC as bridges out. My thought is that its going to
hurt the Russian Banking system way more than its going to hurt the Russian businesses. Getting kicked out
of SWIFT was a big deal when it first happened to Iran years ago. But after that happened, everyone in the
world kind of developed contingency plans for it happening to them.
