It's amazing how effective the ploy is. Hell, look at how dead this thread became after the Russian invasion kicked off.
"The lifted restrictions", let's break that down (since this reddit poster is from Ontario):
Vaccine passports are still required for all flights in Canada, still required to cross the US border, still required to receive an organ transplant, any business or establishment can require employees or patrons to be vaccinated and show the pass (the only thing they're 'easing' on March 1st is that businesses are no longer legally forced to enforce it, but they are free to enforce it of their own choice as much as they want.
Ontario refuses to lift the mask mandate, and says at best it will "review the data" near the end of March, and offer no promises.
The federal "Health Officials" have outright stated that they have no issues with bringing back mandates at any time, for any reason.
And furthermore, the Feds have refused to give any timeline on the lifting of their mandates, or even say that the mandates will ever go away. The only 'change' they've allowed is changing the financially punitive PCR requirement for entry into Canada into the slightly less expensive (but still useless and a massive pain) Rapid test.
So, my retard country started a boomer protest that managed to get restrictions ended in every other country except Canada, got curbstomped by our government going full fascist, and then was quickly swept under the rug by everyone cooming over Russia invading Ukraine, even on KiwiFarms. Canada is a failed nation-state.
