There are female marksmen, but you don't send those to the front. First off there are no opportunities to take propaganda pictures if they're out fighting. If they're out fighting they risk getting killed or captured which would be highly demoralizing. In every case where women have actually fought on the front it's shown to be more of a burden than a gain because the female soldier will be unable to physically keep up with the male soldiers, and the male soldiers will make reckless decisions to protect the weakest member of the unit.

I remember a study being done years ago about the viability of Women on the front line. It found that the Men in the unit would take unnecessary risks to protect the Women. And that also if the Women were killed the Men would linger around the body, allowing them to be ambushed.
