they might not be committing a lot of troops but they certainly aren't doing precision strikes either, launching grad directly into cities is the opposite of careful
If Russia was launching grad directly into cities, Kiev would look like Grozny by now.

Really hope they don't go balls deep into Kiev, but idk what else the plan is after they've encircled the city. I guess they could do medieval warfare and just cut off food shipments and electricity until the government surrenders. That would be bad, but all the other scenarios look worse.
With the civvies groups taking shots at eachother and accusing everyone as a saboteur, might aswell wait out and let the Ukraines kill eachother, save yourself the trouble.

Not that I want any censorship of this - but it is kinda funny that everything from TERFs to Globbergate are considered dangerous topics on reddit - but a 16k upvoted post telling people to blow up fuel trucks is ok.
it doesnt "tell how to blow up fuel trucks" it just says "if you shoot the driver, the truck stops" which is pretty worthless information, nobody who read that post learned anything from it that he didn't already know

Total failure
These guys are becoming a total clown show. We have examples of Russian vehicles and infantry becoming isolated, lost, looting for supplies, running out of gas, giving up to locals, abandoning vehicles without scuttling them with the engines running and VDV losing to Ukrainian national guardsmen. There's also the fact they still haven't gained Air superiority. They had two American invasions of Iraq to copy from and they're right next door. This is the equivalent of failing an online college test after someone gives you a link to all the answers.

Fox News must've stolen the term from Homer Simpson who invented it decades prior.

Or maybe it's fucking obvious and has been common for all of American history to call a former president "former president".
So the Simpsons invented it but it was common for all of american history, sure man.

I was talking about the formal title. And it's a way that bias gets manifested by people who call people they don't like "formal president".

Doesn't seem bogged down to me. Most of the fighting looks like they're not committing heavily to any particular points of resistance, most confirmed Russian defeats are from aggressive advanced elements trying to hit Kiev ending up cut off. Rest seems to be maneuvering and skirmishing from forward elements. The only area that doesn't seem to be going to plan is the air game, the Ukrainian airforce is putting up more of a fight than even I expected.
A while back I wondered if it was to some degree probing except for the effort to envelop and finally capture Kiev. Putin is probably holding back his best troops, for if the second raters and irregular thugs like the Kadyrovtsy do it, all the better. Their mistakes could be a help as it means a potential foe underestimating Russia. My impression is that Kadyrovsky are like Bashi-bazouks, thuggish Ottomans irregulars sent in first, who were often, like the Kadyrovsky spurred by bounties and the prospect of loot. Now that might be wrong, but it is an impression I get. And the Ukies' airforce is holding up well, or better. Making overwhelming power tell perhaps can be hard. Perhaps they hope the airforce would fold as on paper they are so outmatched, and did not carefully plan their destruction. Again, in these early days perhaps Putin is hoping the second raters get the job done.

https://twitter.com/worldonalert/status/1497721250159992833 van full of civilians and their dogs shot and killed. looks like several managed to crawl away into a ditch and one german shephard won't leave the owner's side. warning, graphic.
License plate code AI = Kyiv Oblast (Not Kyiv proper which is AA or KA), I wonder if these people are connected to anyone at all because the plate number 0098 AA is an exceedingly low number which is probably why they got hit.
