And in Kuwait Iraqis threw babies out of Incubators!!
'Cept it turned out

"Nayirah al-Ṣabaḥ during her testimony. It was later revealed that she was the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States and that her testimony could not be verified."

Yep after I got suspicious about the stuff coming out of Syria with dead kids and babies and Literally Hitler We Have to DO SOMETHING I started digging and found out about the Kuwait thing. (I was just a kid when it actually happened.) After that I couldn't unsee it, it's a whole trope that they pull out and throw at the wall to see if it sticks, Every Single Time.

Whole Russian Tank Crew Killed. Whatever hit the vehicle was some powerful stuff (NSFW)

OK Breadbasket I have been meaning to ask, is this you?

I'm curious, as I'm sure many of you also are, about how the NPC twitter/reddit types will react to Russia gaining victory over the Ukraine, especially given all the propaganda (e.g. "Ukranian womyn tells Putin's Boys the meaning of intersectional empowerment" "Ghost of Kyiv who has shot down over 10000 Russian planes happens to be trans as many brave people are").

They're setting themselves up for serious shellshock when the Avengers don't save the day.

So which team is winning right now? I’m utterly lost.
Russia is gaining ground but probably not doing it as fast as they like. Ukraine is taking casualties but their propaganda would tell you otherwise. More companies, services and governments are making Russia into an international pariah. Even if Russia is victorious it will be a Pyrrhic one at best in my opinion. The full intentions of Putin are still not known.

Yeah. He threw yellow and blue color over what looks like an old generic sketch.

Real show of commitment Tite Kubo.

To be fair painting the background is more effort than making ink stains or THE HEART and passing those as manga panels. This is a step up!

Me too man. My default was to assume that the country begging Twitter to ban those mean Ruskies, begging Musk for a Starlink, begging social justice Internet warriors to disseminate their Marvel-tier "Badass of Kyiv!" propaganda, and begging literally everyone to join their international IT branch of superhackers is the one on the ropes. But there's been plenty of actual footage and information about the Russians getting absolutely clowned on in this invasion too, so it's hard to keep up.

If all these sanctions on Russian financial institutions leads them to adopt public block chains like Ethereum and Bitcoin as their main way of doing finance, it will be the best thing to happen to Russia since Peter the Great.

The true potential of Russia has always been kept under by corrupt governments with a basket case economy. Having a transparent system that largely regulates itself would bring in investment capital to average Russians that is usually tied up in legal and illegal gate keeping. Imagine Russia with an industrial base like Germany to match its raw natural resource.

But again, the problem would be Russian leaders (especially financial) would have to show humility, and bend themselves to the system and ethos that surround blockchain and not try to mold it to their own whims.
They are just going to shift more to CIPS.

Russia getting kicked out of SWIFT will be the best thing ever for the Chinese. CIPS is already operational.

Lots of seething, Literally Shaking, and vicarious PTSD at the Death of Our Democracy.

Here's my favorite snippet from the speech, it's the Quote of the Era

"Our mission in 2022 and 2024 is to take on this radical and power hungry ruling class and to deliver them an electoral defeat so resounding that they are exiled into political oblivion never ever to return again."

~ President Donald John Trump at CPAC
“The Quote Of The Era”? C’mon, man. Trump is a billionaire and former President. He’s a MEMBER OF the Ruling Class.
