I don't think there's even a remote possibility of NATO directly intervening. Even if they send some surplus guns they're not going to put boots on the ground and A: lose money and manpower for the sake of a non-NATO state that doesn't really benefit them beyond hiding their top sekrit Umbrella Corp labs and B: risk hostile relations with a nation who a ton of them are dependent on for gas and oil who's dependent on us for money in return.

It took 2.4 million soviet soldiers to take back eastern ukraine in WW2 and they still had problems with entire german units getting past them and attacking the rear. Russia is now doing the same thing with 190,000. and then they have to occupy. I just dont see it.
