It's like 50/50 in this thread tbh. I support the Ukraine because I live in a NATO country so why cheer on someone I would have to fight at some point down the line. Better to watch them stumble and eat maximized losses in this exchange. Its really nothing personal outside of that.

The German military wouldn't have the heart to defend modern Germany. Half of them are right wingers of all types that get spat on by their own people and the rest are welfare queens that waste space for a paycheck. I'd wager the Ukranian Air Force is doing better than the modern Luftwaffe would.

Well. The other part of it is that many of them are aware that they are never going to be asked to defend Germany. They are simply going to be used by the United States to carry out the policies of the United States regardless of if those policies are about defending Germany. And their role is to do what they are told.

In the run-up to the Ukraine thing, the head of the Navy made the mistake of speaking his mind about Russia at a conference in India. It was seen in Washington
and the orders immediately came back to Berlin that he had to be gotten rid of. Which they did.

So with that said, I'm pro-Ukraine. Not for any overt political reasons but tbh Russia being the authoritative dumbfuck that it is seriously rubbed me the wrong way. So if Ukraine is making it hard for them, fucking good. I don't care if Putin was scared about NATO membership. He invaded a fucking country and then threatened everyone to stay back or get nuked.

IMO I'm neutral but lean to pro-Ukraine. Fuck NATO and the lies by the Ukrainian military, but Russia can go fuck itself and I don't buy that this was done primarily because Ukraine has been leaning to joining NATO.

There was talk earlier about a ceasefire at Chernobyl because of a cracked containment and radiation kicked up from explosives. Dunno if it was ever confirmed

There's the radiation maps- rads are much higher since Russia takes it, but not dangerously so. Wind is taking it all to Belarus from what map shows. It's dust kicked up by walking, driving and not any real leak.
