Honestly this forum is the closest you'll get to pro rational discussion as opposed to reddit which cooms over mystery trans furrywolfkin aberration pilots or 4chan that screams about Jews because their father left them.
I scream about the Jews because they ran away from Ukraine

For me its im Neutral , Its not that I want Russia to win I just want Globohomo, and neocons/libs to lose
I'm neutral as well, I think Putin and Russia had legitimate gripes with the west, but at the same time I think this whole situation is a mix of failed diplomacy on a massive scale, corruption on an even bigger scale, and the end result in selecting/electing weak and spineless leaders that has allowed the west to become soft as baby shit.

Can you?

There are 4 main reasons why Putin might want Ukraine

1. No nato on russian doorstep (that would work with puppet state not annexing)

2.De-nazification (smells like bullshit but Putin doesn't seem to have whole set to work with nowadays)

3.Go back to ZSRR. (More plausible than above but way beyond grasp of Russia in today's times)

4.Resources. (Land and natural minerals. Make Russia great again.)
5. "muh legacy". I think Rogaine foam could have prevented this conflict because it would prevented one less thing Putin could be insecure about

News of problems with Russia's efforts to neutralize Ukraine are vastly exaggerated. You trust the news when they tell you what you want to hear, but don't trust them when they tell you things you don't like.

Never trust the news. Trust TASS: https://tass.com
The easiest way to do it is watch RT or Chink news if you are Pro-Russian watch anything else if you are Pro-Ukraine.

Man Ukrainian propaganda is funny, Zelenskyy is desperately trying to maintain moral but I'm almost 100% certain the country is just going to break as soon as Kiev falls
They were setting up a secondary command in Lviv at the start of this. Might of been wishful thinking on their part but they were prepared to lose Kyiv at one point

that is what I hate, I know the fog of war is a thing, but every stream with commentary twitter account, ect. all have a side, and their is no one just telling what happens as it happens to the best of their knowledge.

Second part of this video includes hackiler's but I'm too lazy to cut it
On the first part of that video - did the Russki's seriously not see that BRDM sitting in the middle of that park as it started taking shots at them?

If they're just blindly charging forward, not giving each other support, or taking time to target and take out hostile vehicles, then no wonder they're having so much trouble advancing.

EDIT: NVM, on second viewing it looks like it was actually the Russians shooting at it thinking it was an actual operational Ukrainian vehicle (it's not, it's a memorial as @Breadbassket pointed out). Still, point remains that the Russians seem to be going in blindly and haphazard.

This is disproven by the sino-soviet split.
This was like 70 years ago man. Times change. The USSR of old is dead and buried, and since there is no longer even a pretense of parity between the CCP and the Russian Federation while the US hegomony has only grown since those days we are no longer in a position to play Russia and China off of each other. It seems certain to me that they've learned from those days and understand that working against each other only plays to our interest. Besides, what could we even offer Russia to get them to play ball anyway? You speak of conflicting interests but its highly unlikely any of those interests outweigh countering American/NATO hegemony.

If Russia and China dont become staunch allies it wont be because of anything we did. It will be because Putin is dead and the new government decided there's no longer any profit to be found in contesting our sphere of influence.
This is a non-point. They aren't in our military sphere on interest because they aren't a vital strategic interest. No amount of paperwork and promises will change this; it takes a lot of political capital to wage war against a power like Russia, a conflict which would see much higher casualties than even Iraq. The Russians have been playing nice in Ukraine because they have the overwhelming advantage and can choose to do so. If they didn't, they could make Kiev look like Grozny. Any US leadership would have to have enormous support in order to carry this out; Putin specifically waited until we had a weak president in a precarious political position to invade because he knew that Biden wouldn't waste scarce political capital on defending territory which just isn't vital to us. If we had brought them into our military sphere of influence it would just make us look like unreliable flakes because it would still be political suicide to intervene. We will got to war in the Gulf for oil, or in Asia to contain China, or in Western Europe to maintain Nato. We're not going to war for the Ukraine unless Putin makes a massive PR blunder.
Its the entire point. Why does Putin invade Ukraine? Because he can and doesn't perceive serious consequences coming from it because there's no formal obligation for anyone to defend them. Which from the perspective of smaller nations in the region sort of highlights the need for a protector-patron. Frankly Obummer should have not bothered with Lybia(I think he also wasted our resources in Syria too if memory serves?) and put those resources into fortifying Ukraine instead after Crimea. The strategic interest is what it always was, putting our bases right on Russia's front door. Certainly this would have been a bigger strategic gain then what he actually put those resources toward. So really I guess what I'm saying is I blame Obama for this more than I blame Biden.

But hey, when life gives you lemons make lemonade right? Proxy wars always make for a good means to bloody your enemy's nose.

Isn't that how you fight Nazis? Tearing down statues and shit?
No idea what they are shooting at. No context given other than location.
Those statues are a danger to society. They're stunning and brave for saving us from them.
(Edit bc I forgot English for a sec)

I prefer India news, they're insane. They talk so quickly it's difficult to keep up, but they're all in on Modi's good friend Putin and the shining shitting streets of the glorious Hindi future.

Zelenskyy is doing well for a television star. I can't imagine any of ours holding up so well. Or even trying.
I'll have to come back in the morning and see if there's any deaths recorded. Carry on

Oh I doubt Ukraine will completely capitulate once Kiev is taken, but the moral will be gone as msm is really painting it as if the Ukrainians have a fighting chance when 3 days into the war the Russians are nearly at the gates of the Capital. And once that sets in that there is no hope for Ukraine I doubt the Russian army will have problems steamrolling as the common citizen will realize "we're completely fucked"

Its probably something in-between the two, Russia is slated to win (almost everyone agrees on both sides) but they are not advancing as quickly as they would like, IE. a 1 week war may take months.
