Did it get stuck in the mud or something? Jesus Russian tanks are being abandoned more than Germans abandoned the Panther.
Most German Trophy tanks captured by on the Eastern front like the T-34 and KV-2 were ditched after being stuck in mud. Mud is a real motherfucker for tracks. I've seen M113s and M2 Bradleys eat shit stateside during wet seasons. That's why you always need ARVs nearby but these Russians seem content fucking around alone without support.

Alleged current map, slightly more changes than the last update, full size image is on Wikipedia

T-90s are starting to be sighted (abandoned, along with an SPG). Red band indicates it's Homorussian. Second image I believe is another angle of the T-80 from earlier being finished off with an NLAW after the crew refused to surrender.
Is this one of the first times we've seen the more modern Russian hardware at the front?

Iirc it's mostly been T-80 variants?

Thousands of ukrainian dead, hundreds of russians, dozens if not hundred of combat vehicles lost on both sides. Gonna go out on a limb and say its reasonably brutal.
Brutal is the battle of the Somme this has just been a series of skirmishes so far

I remember people sperging out over a video of two Russians carrying water containers to their APC/IFV. Is this still the looting we're referering to?
Eh? Oh no I just copycat them dumb ukie youth that like to prance like damn donkey. :story:

T-80s and later tiers of T-72s. Personally I think they were trying to use T-80s first as it's a terminal asset, as in they can't build more hulls or spare parts for reasonable costs. It's also why they dumped off a bunch to the South Koreans as reparations for shooting down one of their airliners. The fact that we're seeing them shift to T-90s means they ran out and are going to the next decent tank in inventory. If they keep losing shit they may revert to earlier T-72s or eschew MBTs and just AFVs and APCs.

Reactivate the t-34s for true de-nazifying larp

We can't have mutual cooperation because they invaded Ukraine. But its our fault this happened somehow.
It is America and the west’s fault because the keep pushing into Russia’s sphere of influence and they can’t be expected to just let that happen.

If Mexico was trying to get into an alliance with China and started talking about how they want to get nukes, America would take the government out immediately.
America goes around fucking with places they have zero strategic interest in and they also fuck over countries like Ukraine because they make them think they have their back when they have no capability to actually do so and the countries start to get brave with Russia because they think they have America backing them up and then when they get their shit kicked in by Russia, America hangs them out to dry. They did the same thing with Georgia in 2008.

Ukraine was basically a more neutral Belarus prior to the U.S. Gay Op that was Maiden, and ever since it's been drifting into Estonia territory. At no point since the ouster of Yanukovych did Ukraine try to meaningful deal with Russia. The seeds for this war aren't 2021, 2020 or even 2016, they're all the way back in 2014 and at no point did those bushes get dug up from the root before they bore fruit.

If one wants to remove the culture war lens, as to the quote I was originally responding to, and one should fairly and in all cases remove the emotional lens, that means ones should look at it for what it's objectively about and that's Ukraine adopting a Western regime at the hands of Western planned colour revolutions that refuses to cooperate with Russia and through many political blunders, sought to antagonize it. There is no doubt in my mind that part of the ignition of this war was Zelensky hinting that he's open to the idea of joining NATO which I believe occurred last week, though the tinder was planted long ago.

I have never once taken other side on this conflict because both parties involved and their full throated supporters are idiots and the entire conflict is dumb. Ukraine is fighting Russia over an island and two pockets full of ethnic Russian's wanting to join Russia for the last 8 years out of pride for a former USSR artificially constructed border. Russia is killing people to prevent Ukraine from bringing NATO to their doorsteps and to probably unite the small Russia diaspora into their nation.

Between these two retarded justifications, the Russian one makes more sense. Though every geo-political force from Washington to Moscow has acted like complete idiots over this matter for the last 8 years. It used to be Russia was part of things like G-8, until Globohomo needed a villain. Eastern Europeans never seem to see the bigger picture and just point to centuries of problems with Russia as justification for why Russia always has to be the villain in their national stories.

But perhaps I am the one that's wrong, maybe humanity (or parts of it) are doomed to fight the same retarded wars with the same retarded players for all time. All I know is that England and France and England and Ireland, eventually, were able to set aside most of their past grievances with one another. There's no reason a state like Ukraine couldn't do the same with Russia.

Also, prisoners have to be housed, guarded and fed. They are a huge resource drain on a fighting force, and it's not work for soldiers anyway. I'm quite sure Russia could hold them as prisoners, I just think Russia doesn't want to.
But Russia has some sort of C, D or E team like football hooligans, bikers or these Cossack Host LARPers who could be sobered up to point a gun. Or are these already fighting in the LPR and DPR forces?
