Aye, but then here's another question:Because if it's in the US it is subject to US law. There are things you cannot experiment on in the US like gain of function for example that you can in other countries that don't have as strict rules and guidelines.
Like.. everyone here is aware that the NIH was funding gain of function research/experiments in that lab in Wuhan by now right? There's a reason for that. Less oversight and less rules if the lab is not on US soil.
If you're operating a black bag biolab facility, why does regulation apply to you? Or better yet, why Ukraine, and not say, some shithole island off Cuba or Carribean or even Hawaii? It's schizo because nobody has been able to satisfactorily answer this question. The gain of function in Wuhan thing I presume is a collaboration with the Chinese, which means they're party to it. Here, there's no reason for Ukraine to be party to anything, so why there and not literally any other safer place?
