I've seen commercials recently touting Joe Biden's "achievements", but it's mostly stuff about lead pipe removal and reducing child poverty. It comes across as a presidential campaign that got released a few years early. Also it's seems to be add at black people, but it's being aired during reruns of Doctor Who episodes on Pluto TV.

Sure, but I couldn't picture Hillary doing that in 2015, let alone today. Besides, I saw on the news a few weeks ago where Bernie was walking briskly after some Congress meeting, and he still looked pretty darn mobile. With Joe and Hillary, they look like they're about to fall over and you'll notice they require someone nearby, just in case they need to steady themselves.

I believe Bernie is mobile in general due to his lifestyle. According to people that live near Bernie (Believe I read this on KF, actually), it's common to see him walking or biking through the neighborhood.

Perhaps a rematch vs Trump will give the Dem's the David vs Goliath fight they love to pretend they have. I've been racking my brains, reading up and researching all the Dem state leaders, local heavy hitters and other potential candidates and frankly it will have to be Hillary.

Depends however on the rest of the world having foresight to know that if America's fallen, that the ensuing chaos would make shit worse for everyone.

I didn't see this posted yet, but yeah, expect Biden to declare a win on COVID at the State of the Union and praise Democrats who did such a good job with lockdowns and mask mandates in spite of Republicans trying to kill grandmas. I live in a heavily Democrat area, with nearly full Democratic control of all levels of government, and I still see lots of people wearing masks outside or in a car by themselves. Lots of people have moved from cloth masks to N95s even though Omicron is milder and 80% of the population is vaxxed. The county just now got rid of the vax mandate for restaurants, bars and events, and our mask mandate is set to expire late next month. But if I drive an hour out of the city the pandemic has been effectively over for more than a year, and that's not because of Democrats.

They really are going to try to memory hole the whole pandemic. They're going to try to make us forget all the lost years of children's education and social development, the families that put off having kids or never formed in the first place, the cancelled and postponed cancer screenings and surgeries, the small businesses that closed, etc. And when they do acknowledge it, they're going to try to blame Republicans, the party whose states had the least restrictions. They really think we're that stupid, and sadly, they might be right.

I'm in similar straits too. As long as people wear masks, COVID is not over. They've got too many Branch COVIDians panicked to successfully memory hole everything. Also, are retail employees masked? Because they do it due to the threat of health inspection. It also has the side effect of communicating that COVID is not over.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, vax passports are also reminders of COVID. Obedience to the state aside, vax is now shorthand for COVID vax, not Hepatitis/Polio/Measles/Tuberculous/Smallpox etc. vax.* Since all they're asking for is COVID vax. Even if wagie turns his brain off and says "You need your vax passport," it's still a subtle acknowledgement that COVID is still around. Wagie immediately has cognitive dissonance when claiming Biden stopped COVID when constantly asking for passports.

*Which I would actually support. Those diseases are no joke and a comprehensive list of valid vaccinations would be useful. COVID vax is sus because of incredibly shoddy experimental testing with no clear control group to compare to experimenting on an entire population.

The idea, at least so I believe, was never to actually get -in- to a war or start one. Rather it was a game of chicken where the administration was hoping to skirt as close as possible to it but then slap down the threat of sanctions to force Putin to back off and claim it was totally a victory. The end goal of this being to stop the continued hemorrhaging of their own voters.
