General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
He meets the most obvious criteria to be one, but IIRC he's said he doesn't consider himself to be one and he just uses the doggo to have something interesting on the screen while he talks, so I guess we should take his word for it. The doggo model itself is a stock character that comes with one of the vtuber software packages; I've seen others on Twitch using the same model. He does have his own customized versions of it, though, like the guntified version he used last night, or the one in Gura's shark hoodie he used tonight.

But I guess if we want the final word, we could ask him ourselves. @Flamenco ?
I'm not a character and am portraying myself as is. I personally consider the act of playing a character to be slightly more integral, but who knows.

So the guntmenco wasn't an act after all, plot twist :story:

Holy shit they truly are going scorched Earth.
Whilst we think we know everything now. There's still some behind the scenes things we don't know about. I haven't seen Cover go full force like this since Hitomi Chris. Rushia seriously pissed in Yagoo's coffee.

I'm pretty sure all the apartment building are on the same street. The whole point is to make everything walking distance so yeah they are all pretty close together.
It’s called “University of Caucasians - Lost among Asians” for a reason. She’s fine since even if a urufugang suitor drove cross country to call out on the street for his ursine maiden who is going to answer the call other than campus police?

IIRC, the termination announcement only mentioned about merchs, not fes & expo. This is new right?

Shows how serious they are that they are willing to tank the financial consequences.

Cover acting nice & fair so far.
They also giving around a month of time to archive the channel. Which is not the case with, for example, Monoe.

It's false advertising laws, most likely.

Fans of Rushia buy a ticket for Rushia stuff, and now she will not be there. You can't force them to attend if they aren't interested in anything else, and to be honest it's probably for the best in case they are tempted to make a stink at the convention.

It's just an option they've provided for people who no longer want the product after a situation changes. It's good practice but nothing else.

You act like people who would actually want to make a stink at the convention could just choose to not get a refund and still make a stink "to protect Rushia's honor"

True enough. But at least the option is there for the Fandeads who don't want to cause problems but also don't care about anyone else in Hololive.

Agree that this is just normal good practice.

Just emphasizing that Cover not necessarily a black company. Not perfect company, but at least they try to do the right thing.

Cover has never been a Black Company they're just retarded at moments being retarded is the worst possible thing to be.

I personally wouldn't give kudos to a standard refund policy but that's just me. Not doing so would just be an unnecessary and brazen tanking of good faith at a time everyone is watching their every move Re: Rushia.

Cover feels like a company that is in waaay over its head. They should really focus less on gathering new talents (at least for a year) and spend that time building up their piss poor infrastructure and communication with the overseas markets.
Wasn't that the plan for now? I thought Yagoo said that a while ago.

I hope that's the case, but with open EN Auditions now the norm, a rumored 3rd gen for ID and the fact that they already brought on a new gen of girls months after Council debuted (granted it's been a while since new JP members were introduced), they're not practicing what he preached.
