It wasn't exactly the worst plan. Of course, its far from the best plan, or far from even good, but its probably the least-terrible plan that lets them avoid willingly eating meal of crow. They'll move heaven and earth, or at least claim they can, in order to avoid taking a bite of their own free will. If what you've said about Ron Klain is correct, they'll never admit they were wrong unless and until reality grabs them by the neck and rubs their face in it... and probably not even then.

Don't worry, there will be no need for interference here.

Russia will make unreasonable demands, Ukraine will tell them to go fuck themselves and give back their land, and the "peace talks" will collapse. These aren't peace negotiations, they're Russia trying to stall for time while they bring more ordnance to try to level Kyiv with.

If those Uki votes get offset by Americans of Russian descent votes, that would be a bonus.

Overall the only refugees with some sanity after all this time were the Cubans, that the Democrats iirc did block a while ago.

The democrats may be working to scuttle COVID restrictions for political expediency and to memoryhole the past two years (dropping the mask mandate for congress just prior to the SOTU is a stark example- I still have doubts that every dem will be unmasked for that), while gaslighting that they ended COVID by fOlLoWiNG tHe sCiENcE, and that everything bad that occurred was the Republicans’ fault. I’ve seen a number of comments here bemoaning that such efforts will be successful.

I don’t think these efforts will work. In order for that tactic to see even moderate success, (1) COVID has to disappear completely, which is unlikely to happen (at least in their preferred timeframe). As has been said, they’ve bred too many Branch Covidians via fear-induced brain breaking who insist on continuing COVID restrictions against all reality. As much as they want to throttle such people and tell them to stop because they’re making the party look bad, they can’t and it’s a self-inflicted problem that the party itself created. As long as people see ANY masking, from schools to airplanes (place your bets for the CDC to lift school masking before SOTU…), to outdoors and alone in cars (plenty of that where I live), COVID is not over. If people are reminded of COVID vaccines by their jobs/government/etc., COVID is not over. If your job is continuing pandemic-related worksite changes, COVID is not over.

And (2) there are far too many people who understand that it was the mandate-happy democrats who stunted their childrens’ development, prevented people from experiencing major life milestones, and attempted to create a nefarious social credit system where ability to participate in the economy/society was dependent on taking an experimental, hastily-developed medication on which there is still much opacity re: testing/effectiveness/safety. And if you didn’t want to take it? You were left in the cold and told that you were the cause of society’s ills. No amount of gaslighting is going to lead people with IQs above 60 to think that all that was the fault of the republicans, especially when they were near-united in opposition. At this point, everyone knows that red states were able to grow their economies, keep schools open, and leave people alone, while blue states suffered in comparison. Red state COVID metrics weren’t the apocalyptic hell that blue states/media/pols portrayed them as. Even Branch Covidians know this, thanks to the double-edged sword that is breathless media attention.

Plus, it’s almost a reflex at this point that these tards need to un-learn.

Perhaps a rematch vs Trump will give the Dem's the David vs Goliath fight they love to pretend they have. I've been racking my brains, reading up and researching all the Dem state leaders, local heavy hitters and other potential candidates and frankly it will have to be Hillary.

The Dems are flat broke on talented and skilled pols, the cupboard is bare and the back room is full of sycophants, shill-sters and grifters of the race variety. None of which would stand a chance in 2024. When you have a race baiting harridan like Stacey Abrams getting double digit name recognition in some states...well you done fucked up big time.

There's also Kamala. But at the same time, why are we even talking people? Given the 2020 rules, HR1, and true believers, and the Democrat Party's willingness to use all of those to their advantage, it doesn't matter who runs or who they're up against: the Democrats will find a way to win just to keep whatever GOP candidate out.
