Any Russian/Ukrainian speakers in the thread who can verify if this translation/video isn't completely fake? I get that it's 2022 but the idea of Ukrainians and Russians insulting each other on radio like they're playing CS:GO sounds too good to be true.

I love this also love they mention the javelins, it seems the west really did arm every single Ukranian with a fucking anti tank rocket.
Generations from now Ukranian descendants (if they don't get genocided) will do like the old tradition of hanging the musket that grandpa used during the war as a family trophy in the living room, but instead of being a musket it will be the discarded javelin launcher

Sounds a bit too clear to be radio transmissions but honestly I could buy this sort of exchange happening.

The Ukrainian guy sounds a little too Russian to me, but maybe he's just not a walking stereotype that can't pronounce the letter G.
close range FM radios like that sound perfectly clear when you are within a few kilometers (5-8W TX power).

It happened in Yugoslavia!

The Great Republic of the United States of America is a global economic, military, scientific, cultural, technological, and even linguistic hegemon. It retains it's great hegemony and de facto "transcendence" of international law even in spite of its current state of decline, because countries like the United States are incredibly good at reinventing themselves to fit new challenges. It's like a cycle only a representative republican democracy or robust empire is really capable of, you see.

The Federation of the Muscovite Rus' is none of those things, as I'm sure people like @Borscht can attest.
The main strength of the United States lies in its federalization and decentralized structure. Your founding fathers were clever men indeed: with each state effectively governing itself, the burden on the government apparatus is light and, by virtue of that many entities vying for power, smartly devised checks and balances, and the additional safeguard in the shape of the 2nd amendment, protected from degenerating into an autocracy. This system stood the test of time and remains functional even now. Couple this with an extremely favorable geographic position (no enemies to defend from and a glut of natural resources), and we have a winner.

The Federation of the Muscovite Rus' is the direct opposite, with centuries spent to solidify it into a highly centralized state with a rigid vertical of power. It thrives under an enlightened ruler (Peter I, Catherine II, arguably Joseph Stalin who inherited an impoverished agrarian state with less than 10% literacy rate and left it with an atomic bomb and a space program despite the bloodiest war in human history, at least so far) and suffers under a weak one (Paul I, Nicholas II, Andropov, Chernenko, Gorbachev, Yeltsin). The addition of external threats through most of its history, whether real or imagined, stunted its economic growth and contributed to the formation of a disproportionately strong military, and the constant offensive and defensive campaigns bled it of the population required to colonize and develop the resources of its vast territory. The losses in the Napoleonic wars, WW1 and WW2 were literally crippling.

One should not disregard historic factors when looking at things like these. The development of any nation is only party shaped by tradition/inertia and depends on plenty of outside factors.

I hate to say it, but at a UN level, Russia, China and Hungary (sometimes Poland jumps into the mix) are the only ones filtering out the absolute bs language the Western powers are trying to push on the gender front. We need some sort of balancing act unless we want to live in trans utopia, which I for one, do not.

I'm confused, is Putin actually planning on launching the nukes or is it just him trying to scare everyone?
you must be a retard if you dont believe that Russia's nuclear arsenal isnt on 24/7/365 high alert regardless of geopolitical situations. Its a scare tactic. Even under peaceful conditions the US can launch nukes within 5 mins of the president saying so

He's trying to be more civilized than his predecessors, for instance, he did not take off either of his shoes or for that matter any item of apparel, and did not bang on a table while making his threats of nuclear annihilation.

About 20 years ago, give or take. 30 if you're feeling generous and consider a group gangbang by globohomo to be just as bad as a 'MURICA ASSFUCKIN'.
We unironically should have partitioned Afghanistan when we had the chance.

Fuck no. The United States is magnificently autistic in its single-mindedness and we love it for that.
I think you're confusing the relative consistency and entrenched nature of the foreign policy complex established by George H. W. Bush with the evolution of domestic American politics, which are, ironically enough, of a far more "rapid" pace.

And even then, American foreign policy can and has changed significantly. Compare the entire H. W. Bush-Clinton-W. Bush-Obama-Biden foreign policy apparatus to that of Trump's. They're basically incomparable in both foundation and effect.

he already launched them, we're just waiting to die
Wouldn't have happened if Funny Valentine was president.

IMO it's a bluff that he knows NATO can't afford to call directly. Though I would welcome the sweet embrace of thermonuclear death.
With how people are still obsessing over mask shit, queer shit, and liberal shit? Same bro

Putin will launch if NATO fucks around and finds out.

For further details see this documentary.
At least California's destined to break off from the rest of us, as it should.

Sounds like should he activate the big red button, he'll do so with civility.
