Well said. Pain and suffering is universal, we all go through it to varying degrees. And I know gender dysphoria can’t be an easy thing to live with either. I don’t discredit their suffering whatsoever and I do extend a certain amount of sympathy to those who truly have gender dysphoria. But this is absolutely not the way to go about it.

Depression is something many people have to suffer with all their lives. We aren’t given the option to have assisted-suicide, now are we? Nor are we given razors to cut ourselves with. That’s ridiculous. Depression isn’t curable but it is treatable. Same for gender dysphoria.

It sucks ass to have a delusional mind deadset on the belief that you are the opposite sex, but your body is perfectly healthy. Your mind is what is not healthy here. That is a delusion.

Strangely enough, I just recalled a time in my life where doctors were willing to give me surgery and unnecessary medical tools for a problem I had that was entirely mental. For the longest time I thought it was a physical problem. Nope, turned out to be bodily-focused OCD. As much short-term relief as the surgeries and tools would have been, it would have ultimately just been worsening my mental illness.

I am so glad I refused those surgeries even in my darkest hours, because I’ve learned to deal with this shitty OCD. I turned to a therapist once I realized there was nothing physically wrong with me, it was all mental.

This is what I wish these gender dysphoric people would do before going balls-deep into hormones and therapy…

So let me get this story straight. There is a therapist who has quite a few trans clients. Many 'gender affirming surgeries' need signed off on by a therapist, so presumably, this therapist has been signing these letters for years and years. This therapist ONLY RECENTLY learned how awful phalloplasty is, both in looks and functionality. Something that we all know just from viewing literally any photo of the end results. We also know how awful literally every 'gender affirming surgery' is, just by looking at the photos.

This just leads me to believe that this therapist has been signing off on procedures that they do not understand and have been at it for years. Who knows how many faulty amholes have been installed, thanks to this therapist. How many ruined breasts, how many hysterectomies? Perfectly health body parts, ruined for life.

When a trans client stops coming in, does this therapist think they are finally at peace with themselves and their gender and body, or does the therapist wonder for a second if the client finally killed themselves?

That's the whole gist of 'gender affirming' healthcare. It's illegal for the therapist to do anything but agree or it's "conversion therapy". Therapists can't do their actual job anymore in fear of legal and social consequences. I believe it's called the "Informed Consent Model".

Most therapists have been in the business before the uptick of this gender craze so these therapists likely weren't even initially specialized in their care. Their hearts aren't in it at all.
