That's why I blame the media for a lot of shit that has been happening lately.
There's probably a ton of people currently in Kyiv that will fucking die because they still believe that a "Ghost of Kyiv" is coming to save them. Wars are fucky and confusing/contradictory information is very common in the first days.
They should only communicate via Telegram between themselves and not let the information fall in the hands of Westerners, Westerners can and will propagandize the shit out of everything they see. Putting a Chinese tier proxy would be a responsible thing to do as of now.

Now is this yet another academic with a severe political bias using his prestige to push his anti-anything-US agenda? Academics have a "recent" history of using sleight of hand to push for "all of US bad" in the US and redditors lap it up given they are unable to consider nuance. American academics are allergic to differentiating US/Western elite from the rest of the populace and its culture.
