I think germany air dropped on Crete at night
It was a bloody disaster for them, plus one family lost all 5 sons iirc on the same day.

The last time my wife and I visited mainland China, she had a case of the Beijing Shits because a shitty Chinese water boiler did not sufficiently boil the shitty water coming out of the shitty Chinese pipes. If you can't even deliver potable water - and this is a national problem for China - I'm suspicious as fuck that your military can wipe the floor with any near-peer power.

I've never actually met a rural Chinaman I didn't like, but China as a whole is retarded. Their Meguh Hypersanic Missuls are like a lot of the Chinese military: vaporware. What funding isn't skimmed by whatever local Communist Party clique will be skimmed by whatever officer commands that specific unit.

China hasn't been to war in going on fifty years, lacks any semblance of a warrior culture, and doesn't even have joint command or any ability for groups to communicate with one another. If you think the Russians have shown autism in Ukraine, you're going to blush at the Turbo Tards the PLA are capable of being.
That is because they fear a military coup over being meritocratic, same thing that the Arab dictatorships and kingdoms do as well.

This all feels like some kind of gay alternate Cold War timeline, except NATO is exponentially more powerful than the Russian Federation / Crimea / Transnistria / whatever other dogshit areas of Ukraine that Russia annexes (USSR The Rebirth), and the equivalent "Warsaw Pact" is some shit tier cooperation agreement with the economic and military powerhouse of Belarus. What a time to be alive...

That was more because german paratroopers dropped without weapons....a weapons box was dropped first and trouble in Crete was the soldier couldnt find the damn boxes in the middle of the night

Russians drop with an ak atleast

Yeah, and 70% of them died.

Pre-emptive edit: yes, that's probably hyperbole. Still was shit for them.
Enough of them died and it was a shambles that Hitler forbade them from doing any combat drops for the rest of the war. The allied drops at Normandy were also a total shambles that happened to succeed solely because Hitler didn't release the panzer division to Rommel to stage a counter-attack, and the market garden drops was a horrible shambles ending in a defeat when the paratroopers got run over by the nearest panzer group

Paratroopers exist so meatheads can get a shiny badge that makes them feel superior to other meatheads, mass paradrops are not militarily useful

Agreed. Say what you will about the cucked degenerate troon West, we still do war better than anyone else in the world by far. Like, it's not even close. :augleft:🇺🇸🇪🇺🇬🇧:aug:

Worth noting though is the reason they did that is when you drop them with their weapons it means a lot more of them will land hard enough to break their weapons or themselves.

Is Churchill much like Woodrow Wilson? Every modern political faction hates his guts for different reasons, lefties hate him for being racist, righties hate him for not teaming up with Hitler to end the Red Menace, but the real reason we all hate him is that boomers like him, and the whole point of modern edgelord politics is to troll boomers by pissing on their sacred cows. I suppose he only managed to get as far as he did by being a great writer, much easier to get your ideas across when you literally write the history books.
That's pretty much my take on it. He's a drunk warmonger who plunged Britian into a fight it wasn't equipped to win, was saved from annihilation at Dunkirk by an act of fucking God, and took that as a cue to team up against Hitler with literally the only worse person on the planet. His quote- "if Hitler invaded Hell, the Devil would get a favorable mention in the House of Commons-" is an underappreciated indicator of how completely fucked his perspective was on the whole business. The fact that he ultimately destroyed the Empire he thought he saving makes him, frankly, a tragicomic figure with few equals.

And Boomers hate it when you say that, so, bonus.

Alright kiwis I've got a migraine coming on, but I'll be back if something amazing happens.
Hope listening to Biden doesn't vaporize your brain like it did to me.
