TBH I think it's a matter of time (mainly after he is done with hitting Meigh and driving home) that he'll make a blogpost about it which will completely sideline his experience with AFPAC. Accurate. I also think that Ralph really does see Jim — consciously or not — as at the very least a big brother figure, if not a father figure. I think he’s angry at himself for ever valuing Jim as a person in his life, but not as angry as he is at Jim for not being the defender and rescuer he expected.

It's unlikely, but there is the chance that a single thing got through to Ralph during or after the stream he did with metokur. Namely that metokur hadn't been out to get him, and if he had been it would look completely different... and that Jim could still do that if he chose to.
Even today Jim was very tactful about what he talked about (an offhand joke about Gator calling himself 'Adriene Blair Won' and the $1 saga being the only exception) and even said out loud that he was being a good boy. The Pillstream as well as Portugal and it's direct aftermath are basically the only things he touches on. Ralph's typical "If you go low, I go lower" philosophy doesn't really affect Jim because he tried every angle he could and nothing stuck. He lashed out, didn't receive the response he wanted, pleaded for his Internet daddy to come back into good graces after slandering his wife and praying death on the man himself.
