US oil and gas companies have rock hard boners over this. Bakken is back boys. Load up the camper and head to Williston. Bring your work boots. There is money to be made. It's 2006 all over again. Frack everything. Woooooo.

But there is even more than that. The Marcellus Shale Play. That has been sitting and waiting for energy prices to come around and demand to spike. Same with several large LNG export facilities on the east coast just waiting for capital.

Hooking the EU up to the US gas pipe is going to solve many issues.

This is rainbow thinking for the moment. Until the Dems and Biden publicly come out and put support behind renewed American drilling, until these companies have some guarantee of predictability regarding future regulations and restrictions, they're simply going to stick with their current operations. No one is going to throw major money at new plays without that support, even with Russian oil & gas now becoming problematic.

It's the same up here in Canada. Suncor, CNRL, and Imperial will sit back, enjoy the additional revenue, and neither hire new engineers/operators nor start up new operations to take advantage of it. We'll need to see the likes of Aspen restarted to know that the overall market has changed.
