The Russians will make their own platforms, and they will eventually sell/grant services to us canceled Western -istaphobes in exchange for capital. The services won’t be that great at first, but they’ll be better than being completely canceled.

Do notice that there are no (((banks))) on that list.

That “ready made market” is a region overshadowed by an incredibly hostile power that has been trying to destroy your sphere of influence for 70 years. People really are completely ignorant of how the world works huh.
"Incredibly hostile". Must have missed all those invasions the US and Europe tried post-WWII. Imagine being so historically ignorant that you're actually defending the most provably barbarous regime in human history.

FUCKING EXACTLY!!! I'm honestly nicely surprised how many people on this obscure new zealand agriculture forum understand this stuff. And I've learned a good bit about that particular area of the world as well.

I"m not shocked how 10-15 people are either clueless or purposely dumb about world politics. A couple people who's posts I generally liked has really turned out to be fuckign idiots. And some folks I used to not think a lot of have turned out to be a bit different than i expected.
You think it's a secret that Russians have been afraid of invasions out of the west for 700 years? It's not

Although those invasions have always failed whether it was Germans or Swedes or French or Germans again, the Huns and Mongols coming from the east were the invasions that were actually successful

If hurr durr we afraid justifies Vlad daddy's excellent blunder that has made all of Europe afraid of him - and not in the 'we're so afraid we don't dare cross him' way, more like 'we're so afraid we must hurt him as badly as we can with our Murican frens so he can't do it to us' - I guess Muricans being afraid of jihadis under the bed justifies kicking Saddam's shit in and unleashing 20 years of multifaceted Muslim civil war across two continents too. We were afraid! So it's all good

So how long before we see the reaction from all these sanctions and exiling?
Depends, If we go what i've heard called "multipolar" or whatever, the idea of a china/russia/x alignment could be pretty important to offset any sanctions. The bank stuff and shutdown of air space to russia will/has fucked them up pretty bad already. It makes me wonder how prepared russia was going into this, did they divest of the ruble (i've read about them shorting that.. not sure how that works or if it's even possible)

No matter what though, it has hurt them. But in ways, the price of oil for one, there are probably offsets.

Eh, no one is perfect. There are people I look up to in this world who I wish it were easy for me to agree with and start waving a Ukraine flag, and some of them have good reasons either interpersonal ties or some sort of history. And others are total spergs when it comes to people at scale.

Ofc for all I know I'm one of the people you think are retarded so w/e 🤷‍♂️

You're making it sound like they carpet bombed indiscriminately, which you know is patently absurd.
I never said that and I'll make it clear that's not not I meant, what I said (and meant) is that they didn't care about mass Iraqi casualties, which they didn't because that's what they caused. Baghdad was decimated in the bombings and nobody would argue otherwise, the Al-Yarmouk Hospital was reportedly taking in around 100 new patients an hour during all of this. We know Russia could cause similar devastation because we've seen it happen before I the Chechen War, but they have chosen not to for whatever reason.

I'm not saying this as a pro-Russian or whatever, it's just seems obvious. You have picked your side though and that's fine mate, just don't assume anyone who disagrees with you is immediately on the "other side".

So, here's a britbong that generally puts out hot but well-reasoned takes on old military hardware on the current situation.

>Lazerpig

Oh no, its trash!

>T-34..............LE BAD!.........BECAUSE IT BROKE DOWN!
>What do you mean Tanks constantly break down
>And the advantage of the T-34 was its parts were easy to understand and replace

Putin knew exactly how and who in the west would respond.

He was right.

I have spent a couple of hours a day before naps calling my globohomo buddies to make sure we all tweet about how we hate Russia. Now twitter and reddit users are saying mean things about him.

Also all these sanctions that directly impact the russian population are the perfect reason to justify pootin actions in their eyes. This somehow proves that the west is the enemy, i wouldn't be surprised if pootin popularity inside russia gets better with this.
It's funny how a good portion of this thread is laughing at retarded takes on twitter and associated pro-Ukraine propaganda brainwashing.

But somehow people have this weird idea that it's ok when Russia does it to it's own population to stoke irrational fear and paranoia of the west. Their NPCs get programmed too. It's all a load of horseshit. All of it.

It would make sense if saddam was in mexico, or canada.. But of course, you know that, you dishonest cocksucker.

But you're saying things that are almost provably false. They are shelling some cities indiscriminately with artillery, not smart bombs. Just because they don't have the capacity to do 1,000 sorties doesn't necessarily mean that they're being careful. You may be attributing to compassion what could be better attributed to current inability.
