People accused of looting being paraded through Kiev, lol.

I really am curious as to why the Russians held back on some of their better stuff until now.

Bad logistics? Fear of it falling in to Ukrainian and then NATO hands? Really thinking that there wouldn't be a fight?
Standard Russian play book from previous wars has been send in the poorly equipped conscripts to get the enemy to reveal their strength, waste their best toys etc before they send in the proper stuff. Any of the conscripts surviving or any damage they do are just bonuses.

People have been advised to write Kyiv instead of Kiev, because Kiev is Russian spelling. If you use Kiev, you just might be a Russian asset.

it's practically identical issue to Bombay/Mumbai ... it's their town, they can call it whatever the fuck they want. There is probably at least a dozen pages worth bitching about it by the same people feel that imposing their shit unto others is wrong.

I went for 24 hours yesterday following everything. Did I miss any sweet combat footage today? I went back 10 pages but my god this thread is rocking. I will take my admonishment for being a lazy bastard with pride.

Don't even need links, just some highlights so I can google that shit.

If the hastati failed to break the enemy, they would fall back and let the principes, heavier and more experienced infantry, take over. If the principes did not break them, they would retire behind the triarii, who would then engage the enemy in turn—hence the expression rem ad Triarios redisse, "it has come to the triarii"—signaling an act of desperation.
Third Rome pride

I've hear this from Russians, they want a strong leader, and if he's an asshole sometimes, well that's just the way it is. They do admire Stalin even as they denounce him. They really think differently from Americans and point to their history, which like you say, would make us all go weak in the knees.

My dad knew someone who survived the siege of Leningrad and he told me, all of it. I thought it was just a tall tale, you know, because the guy was old af. In uni I learned it was not and to this day the thought of it horrifies me. Like, it shakes me to the core. I doubt I wold have survived. And I survived some gnarly shit in my day but nothing comes close to what Russians went through in Leningrad, and that's just one instance of Russian history, there are dozens more like it.
TL/DR
Russians aren't pussies. Putin doesn't even have any trannie advisors.

They can call it Queef for all I care, it's still Kiev to me, just like its the Ukraine to me. That's how it's said in my language.
