Woot go Russia!

Someone quickly tell me what happened in the last 10 hours.
Russian lines advanced somewhat, they took a Ukranian provincial capital, people in this thread spent three pages arguing whether "the" was an acceptable prefix for the Ukraine, the anti-Russia hysteria has increased to where some cat breed invented in Russia were banned from some competition. Plenty of propaganda from both sides but generally it appears the Russians are having more success than Ukraine is admitting.

Get ready to be disappointed, be Xi Jingping is more of the kind to manipulate and subvert and lobby until everyone in a country he wants is a pro-Beijing lap dog in his pocket. He’s not one for the army fighting.
That is how it happened in Hong Kong but there has recently been rhetoric about needing Russia's understanding when they solve the Taiwan problem... Also they have had fighting near its border with India recently and are showing more aggression in general.

One the bright side, nuclear war would mostly target cities and large urban centers.

That feel when you live in an extremely low population rural area but you’re slightly too close in proximity to at least 2 nuclear targets to survive without horrific radiation poisoning. At least people in the cities get insta vaporized. Everyone in places like this just gets our insides liquified or cancer if we’re lucky :(

Basically if you want to understand modern China's political strategy, read the book but substitute "jews" for chinese. I'm not making any of this up, this book is openly and widely circulated in China and is popular in both political and business circles there.
So you're saying it's like The Art of War or Meditations in the west lmao

Seeing this made my eyes twitch from repressed memories of just how shitty CTIS was on our M35s, M989s, LMTVs, HETs, etc. We were a goddamn depot-level maintenance company, but even just turning on CTIS caused exactly what is happening to the Russians; and one of my first really shit taskings as an Army mechanic, was being on the detail sent to disable the CTIS system on every single truck in our fucking battalion... literally days before going to Baumholder during January.

That wasn't just our trucks; around 50 of them; but also all the prime movers in the two fuel & waterdog companies attached to us.

IIRC an MWO & kits to fix the system didn't get issued before we deployed; and the only times I ever saw CTIS being used on the fly, they immediately went flat.
That shit never worked right.

If you got a flat, you were either out there changing it and hoping someone didn't make your day (Unless you were a PMC, then you could just toss a grenade in the seat and say "Oops") or you drove on the fucking flat.

And Baumholder in January? Who's fucking wheaties did you piss in to get sent there for WINTEX?

Does Germany expect to be able to continue to buy oil from Russia during all of this?
That's what they are rushing to figure out right now, although a lot of the parliament is probably expecting nothing will change and they will be bale to keep their inefficient green toys and still eat 90% of their gas from Russia.
Needless to say they are in for a rude awakening

Captured Russian soldiers have to call their mother/family.
If there is one country with the worst PR then I dare to say it's Ukraine.
Fuck no, this is brilliant.

I remember when belligerent little shits at school got taken to the office, were told to call their mothers, and personally tell them exactly what they did.

Except..... Putin isn't that kind of bully, and he's not a Jap who can be shamed to death.
