Based on who's definition? So they don't do certain kinds of business with Europe or north america now, there are other nations who will take their commodities. I guess if you're a believer in the worlds current monetary system the ruble dropping 30% in a day is very concerning, but for anyone with a sense towards where things are headed this was an inevitability regardless of war, the war just expedited the process for the ruble, now we just sit and wait for every other currency to catch up and perhaps overtake it on the way down the drain.

The shock waves from Russia's incursion into Ukraine are more important than the actual event itself. Really people should be paying more attention to what's going on in the periphery rather than at the heart of the conflict.

It's not clear Russia can afford otherwise. Russians with foreign income now have to convert 80% into rubles. Its Central Bank saw its holdings of foreign currency taken. Russian banks are closed down. I don't think Russia can do otherwise and likely they hope for a return of Gerhard Shroeder (his staff quit when he refused to resign his RF oil posts) reasonableness (as they see it) to German FP.

Also losing market share for their high crude plus natural gas is not something they want. If they stopped sales it might force Germany's hand, but that might mean measures to replace Russian resources permanent ly or more help for the Ukies.

Not fer nothing but if hostile military equipment rolls in most people have good enough sense to move away. It's a war. That thing isn't handing out bouquets of roses. Something somewhere was going to get fucked up because that's a pretty heavy piece of kit.

I'm actually more impressed that a molotov actually worked. That an attempt to use one didn't result in a charred body on the street. Who the fuck was in charge of security?

Ever in a state of dualism, the Bulgarians support Russia, while the government doesn't.

I know this is an aside, but I thought it might be interesting how other Slavs react to the invasion.
For my nation, the 3rd of March marks the beginning of the end of Ottoman yoke, and after 500 years Bulgaria is established as a state once more. Thanks to Russia ( Russo-Turkish war of 1877-1878 ).

Don't have a video, but the prime minister and party were present and the people were chanting "Traitors, traitors".
