"Well, I was totally going to go to Ukraine and collect fascist scalps... but so many of my comrades had already signed up!"

Oh good, 16k retards who are either going to stop a bullet with their face or run screaming for France the second they see combat.

What's stopping you from putting that on your resume now? It's not like they can check.

I prefer "Internet Mercenary."
Unfortunately, one look at my doughy physique will tell them I'm not a Blackwater hardass.

Just the idea that now all these people are willing to die for a country that they would have called white supremacist and fascist for their dislike of the alphabet people. These are the same people that openly advocate assaulting people they view as transphobic and laugh when the "transphobes" are hurt.

Maybe they think that by saving it they can influence them to become trans positive? Do they just hate Russia that much more? I still think it's more likely that they just listen to whatever popular propaganda tells them.

(This is coming from someone that sees Russia as the aggressor in this situation.)
I attribute it slightly to how mythicized world war 2 has become over the years, teaching kids in school about how it was purely a war between good guys and bad guys causes antifa types, marvel loving redditors and troons to think that they'll go down as heroes fighting the next big bad country (Russia in this case) and make history.

Propaganda works.

On a scale of 1-10 how unethical is it to encourage redditors to bash the fash in Ukraine?
This is just the modern day version of The Children’s Crusade.
You’re not wrong. Future generations will refer to this as the “Manchild Crusade.”
I was ace in Command and Conquer: Generals, even better.
They should make you the Colonel overseeing the Redditor Forces.
This seems to answer my question.

Just to add onto this, the Russian forces following this to the letter and the infighting between Ukraine's military and marauders are current contributors for the deaths of the volunteers. Current death toll on Reddit's merc army sits at 1+. Some grains of salt might be needed for these since they list the usernames that are deceased, and said deceased might be listed by full name, but may or may not be associated with the use of Reddit.

While the original content of the posts are scrubbed either by its OP or by the moderator, a cached page made by Google has archived them. Since it's too late to archive the posts directly at this time, I thought to archive the Google-cached pages of them just in case if something were to happen to those as well.

Claim of user Jakob____ski ventilated.
Google Cache version.
Archive (a bit scuffed since I'm a dumb newfaggot).

Meanwhile, someone claims that a video is floating around that shows visual proof of more dead volunteers. If someone can get that and upload it onto the thread, that'll be great.

Claim of video existence.
Google Cache version.
Archive (once again, a bit scuffed).

A shame really. These volunteers have it good to live a more peaceful life in the West - to continue on and preserve their family tree. Fascinating that what these guys are doing instead is throwing their lives away for a clusterfuck of a cause - interfering with personal government beef between Ukraine and Russia as if it's their business as well. Some don't seem to bother bringing their own personal ID (passports and such) with them, and are clueless when it comes to personal finance. Nothing but pity to all of them.

EtA: You know what, I take it back. It's another great video channel to add while watching the fireworks between the two countries while kicking it back. By all means, fuck around and find out. I'm more thrilled to see the Zone give out brutal life lessons before thinning these idiots out from existence.

The important thing to mention here is that joining the war as a PMC (Private Military Contractor) or as a volunteer under Ukraine's volunteer contract WILL make you exempt from having rights as a POW (Prisoner of War). I'm not saying Russian troops will line you up against a wall and shoot you but you may have a very hard time proving your identity, chances are you'll be thrown into a Russian prison and potentially forgotten about since your country of origin doesn't have much of a reason to come and get you.

Russian troops are also not known to be most law abiding folks in the world and there's nothing stopping them from popping your non-Russian/Ukrainian speaking head off and listing you as a combat casualty. You'd have to be insane to join a war as a foreign volunteer since you'll get zero compensation for the injuries you're almost guaranteed to receive, for example, I doubt the Ukrainians will be handing out ear protection anytime soon so have fun with life long hearing loss and military-grade tinnitus.
