Don't forget the 70s film of The Wiz with Diana Ross as Dorothy, actually... How much do you wanna bet that she never knew that The Wiz is from the 70s? Or even heard about it till now?
Tumblr as a whole tends to shy away from anything "old", up to and including people. (Note how a lot of awful "ask before following" pages include disclaimers for those 18 and older.)
It reminds me of Logan's Run, which is never a good thing.
The movie is a different beast from the play. The play is just the Wizard of Oz with black people; the movie sets the story in New York and an Oz that resembles a schizoid New York.
It was in part because of the movie and its failure with audiences that movie executives started to believe audiences wouldn't watch movies with black people as the leads.

I remember seeing the movie during a Black History month "keep the fucking bastards quiet"- time, and thinking "why the heck do black people get such a crappy Oz?" It was years before I found out how badly they raped the original Broadway musical for the movie.
I would like to know what content this blogger could produce that would compel me to follow them. These kids blow their self-important nonsense way out of proportion.
Someone claims to be a kin of Sander Cohen? Welp. I can't decide if this person is an edgelord for that or is one of those idiots who likes to downplay a villainous character's actions. Also on a minor note, I did get a good chuckle out of the gay Sander Cohen/Frank Fontaine fanart.
Trans? What the fuck no he's not. He's gay and psychotic, yeah but not trans. Surely you can find a gay, trans, and mentally ill character SOMEWHERE in media that isn't batshit and horrible like Cohen, Also all her denial about Fontaine/Atlas too. Wow. Hate to break it to you sweetheart, but he's a sociopath as well.

Excuse you, Fontaine is everything but a sociopath.
Also, the two of them framed some of the fanart and hung it up in their bathroom, and I'm not spoilering this shit 'cause this level of sperginess is always wonderful:

I've also looked through the Fontaine blog and both of them are exactly as self-serious, angry and batshit as each other. Both of them aggressively block a huge amount of people because the fandom is 90% transphobic ableist human garbage or whatever (one of them said they can't see more than thirty posts now when they search through the Fontaine tag -- she's blocked hundreds). They order you not to follow them if you associate with anyone they've had beef with in the past, throw tantrums whenever someone says "your headcanons are weird and shit," and are generally just every single Tumblrina cliche thrown into a blender.
I can't tell whether they literally believe that they're their characters to some extent, either, which is just more headfuck.
Everyone owes it to themselves to set aside half an hour and read through these posts in the personal tags, especially from 3-4 months ago: Cohen Fontaine
I gotta say, my favorite part of this is all of it. From the "I've bound myself eternally to a dude in matrimony, but I totes like girls better" to "I know I look white and have about half a genetic cell of Native American in me, but don't fucking call my white ass white". This is just beautiful.
I kind of want to see these tumblrinas actually insult someone where it hurts, but in an actual funny way or a smart way without going too deep. Something like 'I'll eat your soul' is just plain embarrassing, and I experience so much secondhand embarrassment that I want to vanish into a dark corner for their sake. How the fuck does one think saying something like that is actually scary?

It's both hilarious and depressing to see people in their early 20s promoting this bullshit. It's already autistic as fuck when teenagers do it but at least it's somewhat understandable since teenagers in general are pretty autistic but by the time you hit your 20s, you should be over that shit. Usually.
