I don't know a ton of people who watch RT (normally the anti-US media crowd prefers Al Jazeera), so I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't breaking even. On top of that, sanctions probably make funding it from abroad a nightmare.

I underestimated it by even calling it the largest nuclear plant in Europe, seems to be quite an important location beyond just the nuclear plant

Zaporizhzhia is a large electricity generating hub. There are the hydroelectric power plant known as "DniproHES" Dnieper Hydroelectric Station and the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. Zaporizhzhia plants generate about 25% of the whole Ukrainian electricity consumption. The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is located near Enerhodar, around 60 km from Zaporizhzhia and is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. Also in Enerhodar, is the Zaporizhzhia Thermal Power Station.

Seems geographically important too with it being spread around a portion of the Dnieper river
