Some interesting news on the oil front: despite the US making it clear that their sanctions try to sidestep effecting oil prices, due to the extreme levels of Russophobia Russia cannot find buyers for their oil, despite having offers well below global prices. To give you an idea how bad it is some people are considering lifting sanctions on Iran to stabilize oil prices.

Furthermore most major tanker and logistics companies have decided to cancel all shipments to and from Russia for fear of getting hit with sanctions mid shipment.

We may have just canceled ourselves into a global economic depression.

I don't know if it will affect U.S. prices much as Russian imports only represent ~3% of US crude oil imports and ~1% of the total crude oil processed by US refineries. However, the knock-on effects of this whole ordeal on the global economy may still lead to higher prices (Fertilizer and semiconductor chip prices - Ukraine is home to half of the world's neon gas, which is critical for chip manufacturing - are still the larger concern for the U.S. in my eyes). For Europe though, it's going to be rough.

Update: some other sources I've read say it's actually ~5-10% of imported crude oil and refined products. Psaki stated it was around ~10% and she's incentivized to downplay the amount which makes me think this larger figure is more accurate. Thus, oil prices may go up a fair amount in the U.S.

If Germany won, there would have been the settling of Poland and Ukraine by German youths who had no idea how to farm, they would have been punished by the administrators assigned to govern them because CLEARLY crop failure means you just aren't patriotic enough, and by the end the whole plan would have been considered a failure and the German colonists would have shuffled back off to the German industrial heartland to leave the locals to pick up the pieces.
