I also mentioned in the HN thread that it seems like FFG is heading in the same direction. You can tell she's done being diplomatic (unless someone's giving her a zoopershat), and while she used to take criticism fairly well, she will now lash out at and berate anyone who even remotely challenges any of her opinions--whilst actually declaring how important it is to have differing opinions, and how respectful she is of those who disagree with her.

Maybe it's a trend, I don't know.

Why do I repeatedly expect the secondary characters in this B-roll horror movie to make smarter decisions? It's like my brain wants to assume that Chinny's issues are the product of her BPD, not her upbringing. And while the former may be true, it appears she can reasonably lay a significant portion of her troubles at her family's door.

For example, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

If they don't know or care enough by now to disengage, then they've lost all of my empathy. And with a monster like Chins, there was plenty of that to go around to all of her extended family, but especially her mother.

This Nader storyline has picked up steam since the police report arc, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say I don't think he's that fucking dumb (heh, he might actually be) to let her back around.

Even if he was that dumb, he knows what's what. Nader knows what it's like when you have to pay for fucking up. Prison will wise you up pretty fast. Of course some career criminals will skip in and out of prison like it's their daycare but Nader doesn't strike me as that sort. I think once was enough for him and he has no intention of letting Chantal nag him into putting his freedom at risk again. Breeching a NCO wouldn't put him in prison directly, but ain't nobody bringing him Chilean sea bass to cook in jail, if you get my drift. Then again he let her into his life in the first place so what do I know?

I mean, she's been pretty intolerable for years, but unless you knew something about her, she might pass as just another irritating person on the internet. But now, even out of context, she's a raging cunt. That whole, "You're mad because I'll do better videos than you" is just the worst. There was a time when she would have at least feigned civility (remember the whole Freelee thing?) but now she's just cunting up the internet.

So she's been pierced, tattooed, is "in love" with herself, took a spontaneous and fully ill-advised road trip to the US, went knocking on Nader's door after filing a police report accusing him of rape, and is now being a raging, arrogant bitch who truly believes everyone either wants her sexually or is jealous of her. She's really lost it. If her family gave any shit about her whatsoever, they'd have her committed.

But they don't, so we get free entertainment instead.

So we got her smug phase and her angry phase going on at the same time. Along with the super impulsive phase. Makes you wonder when she's going to come down from this bender and we get a bunch of community posts filled with sadness and regret, and channel deletions.

Normally her family has her over. I wonder if the reason if they were out to eat is because it was easier to tell her not to film and end their interaction with her if it was a time limited event at a public place. We all know that when she is in front of strangers that her bad girl persona disappears into the ether immediately. So instead of her being able to bull them into whatever she wants and force her mother to say on camera she is proud of her, we get one picture of her with a drink. The new top may also be because she stank and someone told her to please go change, and mama had one handy. We know she didn't shower and that top came from the floor. Poor Nat having to eat next to her.

We know how many times that she has called and annoyed the fuck out of Nader. Do we really doubt that she hasn't been bugging the ever loving fuck out of her family about her birthday? Come on. I'm not shocked that they did SOMETHING with her. It's easier to do an hour meal in public where they know that she is going to behave than have her over like they did last year and then have her rage in the car than what they did wasn't good enough. I can no longer tolerate watching her except for brief periods with BP chat when she's doing something monumentally stupid, but they might have avoided being lambasted online this year with this step.

We know that she is not seeing her family anywhere near as much as she used to. I do think that they are cutting her off. A documentarian Kiwi with a better memory correct me if I'm wrong, but there was some mention back towards the beginning of the Nader era that her mom had been paying some of her bills. I suspect that is no longer the case and is the reason for some of her money woes and why she is in debt. She has always gone through her YT money like it's water, only now there is no backup. Anyone who has dealt with mentally ill or addicted family members knows it is not that easy to just cut ties with them, there is a sense of guilt that you could have done more. Maybe there was SOMETHING that you could have done that would have prevented it. You will limit your contact, refuse to give them money or any other kind of support that allows them to continue their destructive lifestyle, but they're still your kid/sibling/niece/etc. You still love them. You make as much distance as you can for your own sanity, but I have no doubt that her family is getting a steady stream of updates on her psychosis and that they are getting no joy in any of this and may actually be scared for her. Wouldn't you be if you loved someone going down this path. We DO NOT KNOW anything about her family other than what Chantal has told us and the brief interactions we have seen in her videos, which are framed from her point of view and....CHANTAL LIES.

Unlike Nader, Peetz, and Shannon, they are the only side characters I have a modicum of compassion for in this insane circus that is her life. When she rages often the truth comes out and it sounds like they tried when she was a child by putting her in mental hospitals, treatment programs, and the like, but you can't fix crazy if crazy doesn't want to be fixed.

I think it’s because of her drug abuse which exacerbates her mental illness ( or can create new mental illnesses in ppl) Most people become intolerable as their substance abuse progresses. It’s why family members eventually have to cut them out of their lives because it’s so toxic.
