The funny thing is he doesn't seem to realize that his own idiocy is costing him views. His 1st pasrt of Elden ring has 13k views at this moment but his following Elden Ring vids drop dramatically. He basically fucked himself out of more ad money to save his own fragile ego. He just doesn't want to realize that people just want to watch him fail and flails like and idiot. Or as Tevin stated during Phils Bloodborne playthrough (the one where he leveld to 99 and then fought against the Bloodstarved beast): now the draw is gone.

I'm with you about the pizza being mediocre but not wholly garbage. The reason he's catching so much shit is that he tried to flex with it and act like he was Gordon Ramsey cooking le epic meal for his supermodel wife Khet. If hadn't been an obnoxious cunt about it, some would still have mocked him, but it wouldn't have been as big a thing.

I love his Elden Ring rants now that he's over leveled. He's trying to pass off his purposely OP build he used guides for as some kind of accident.

If your fans are asking you for a more entertaining playthrough maybe just restart, actually play the game and support might increase.

When Dying Light 2 failed on his stream, DSP went on a series of rants about pacing in games. He's too stupid to realized that he is in control of most pacing and that it is important to his streams too.

He's trying to attempt a 100% run on a brand new game. Ok, odd choice, but ok. Acknowledge that. Don't try to play off low level enemies as appropriate challenges you prepared for in advance. Don't stop to read lore when you openly state you don't think there's a story. Don't lie about not knowing where to go when the map has literal lines pointing to new waypoints.

And....don't complain when your audience wagequits you like you wagequit Dying Light 2.

The tweet in general was like some very young child and his first pizza attempt. Replace "my wife" with "my mum" in that tweet, his display picture with some child and it makes more sense. Ebin stuff mate.

Yeah, no Phil and other random Twitter drone. There is no problem with how this is presented.

When your character first wakes up, the first thing you see is an item that allows you to see and write messages left by other players. The next room shows you a message that's left on the ground. You find out what this item is by the message prompt that follows when you pick it up, as well as the detailed item description. And all this is presented even before you talk to the NPC.

From theses two rooms, here is what the player is taught:

1. Items and their descriptions can be as important, if not more so, than the in-game tutorials.
2. These messages can be found in places you wouldn't normally look.
3. If there IS a message, it may be there for a reason. Look around when you find a message.
4. Be attentive. Look around, read the messages. You may find things your camera can't see.​

In less than a minute, the game has already equipped you with the necessary tools needed to explore the world. And the tutorial hole tells you the controls, and supplies you with just enough runes to obtain a Crafting Kit and a Torch when you meet with Kahle in the Church. FromSoftware gives the player the tools they need in order to do what they really came to do: explore the game's world on their own free will, choose where to go, start setting personal goals, get stronger, find what's out there.

Now I ask you ,DSP and random scrub, what the fuck more does the game have to do for you? How long should the developer hold your fucking hand? You have equipment, you're given tools, you're given tutorials, you fight and beat your first boss, you're introduced to the game's new combat mechanics, then let loose to explore uninterrupted from then on out. In what way is this bad game design?

"People gravitate to things that go up, not down." Nigga, the message is right fucking there! It's not even going down! It's right there, to the right! It's the only glowing message in a room that's dark as fuck besides as weird ass ghost and a fucking tree! This is hilarious!

Should the developers make a patch that adds a big Neon Las Vegas sign that reads: " Welcome to Elden Ring! Jump Down Here to Learn the Game, You Fucking Inbred!" I swear, some video games need to come with a free Special ED helmet.

I genuinely think Phil thought Elden Ring would be a reboot to his streaming career. He really thought people would turn up to watch him die and when they realised he was a Chad soulsborne demigod ( who totally doesn't read guides) they would have no choice but to acknowledge his redemption arc and his stream would blow up.

That's why people in chat calling him out for being a boring overlevelled dumbass are getting singled out so harshly. Struck a nerve.

ONE thing I would give him a pass on is the over leveling things in ER, it has the same problem a lot of open-world games have. Lack of level scaling, while its great it's open world and you can do what every you want in what order there's also a set path through the game dictated by level. Witcher 3 had the same issue just compounded with how op crafting was at first.

but that one thing gets snatched away with how he's actively avoiding a challenge and going for over leveled content while bragging about how good he is at the game.



Getting desperate for that viral tweet are we PP while doing a bang-up job I would expect from DSP dropping that king of hate persona. KoF, Burger King, Keem, Capcom, Nintendo, Sony, SFV more KoF, ER, DL2 bashing and nothing so now just random shit on the internet at gin-o'clock in the morning.

Yet again being a retaaarrexeptional individual just to be contrarian. They're considered Zombie Vampires in the movie and it's a genre not a literal zombie movie like Elden Ring you don't collect souls, but it's a souls game.

Very likely. He's also faced with a new problem as he no longer has a game in the immediate future he can point to as the 'savior of his streams' that his fans just have to make it to before a new army of wheelchairs arrives to reinforce them and alleviate the tipping strain. Which is a problem because Phil's existence is predicated on chasing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Unfortunately, this is probably one of the most egregious examples of him relying on a guide of all his Soulsborne playthroughs. Even the Black Knight Halberd wasn't this bad because at least that was random luck - here he just deliberately grit his teeth while he assembled an OP build. So he's crippled the entertainment value and made this more of an open world playthrough than a Soulsborne playthrough, and open world games are absolutely poison to his stream. Phil's commentary is too boring to make downtime interesting, his cheese takes all fun out of the combat, and his stalling amounts to puttering around. All while he asks for $150/stream. So you could either tip Phil every day for this 150 part playthrough, or you could just buy the game, overlevel, and wander around yourself. He offers nothing over doing that experience yourself, and in fact, he offers a worse experience because if you're playing the game, FromSoft doesn't give you a begging pop-up every 20 minutes asking for money to unlock a silly hat for an hour.

The projection of calling his audience greedy and entitled for expecting to see him 'suffer' says it all. Phil is there for himself. You're supposed to pay him to do what he'd be doing if he had no audience, just for the sake that he has an audience. Outside of his pre-release hype and clickbait titles promoting his rage, Phil flatly refuses to provide any entertainment to his audience and tells them to give him money regardless if they feel entertained. If he was correct and this was his window to start growing again, he fucked it up by putting himself first. As always.

This isn't a bankruptcy and the audience isn't Nancy - when your entertainment doesn't balance with your begging, you're not going to be handed what you want, you're going to stagnate.
