A) The sanctions are absolutely not justified. Targeting the Russian civilian population (which most of this is) regardless of their actual support for their current government is a uncalled for and wont stop the war.

The Appalachian chain cuts New England pretty well in half. It cuts inland just north of NYC. There's not a huge amount of people living on the ass end of New England, but the area between the mountains and the coast is pretty damn small.
That's more of a southern slav thing IMO, it gets really peasant-y as you get towards Ukraine and the Black Sea. When you look at slavic broads who live north of the 52nd parallel or so, above Voronezh and approaching the latitude of Minsk, they're less of the early Babushka type and more predisposed to being skinny with finer features. Granted there's probably peasant broads out in Samara and parts of Siberia too, but who the fuck knows what's going on so close to glorious Kazakhstan and Mongoloidian republics (educated guess: it's not good).

Ukrainian soldiers definitely at least wear yellow armbands. According to our very angry friend, DNR soldiers wear blue armbands and Ukrainians never do, but I haven't seen any evidence of this. I did find an article that has a picture of an apparent DNR soldier with a yellow armband from six years ago, so I think going based off of armbands is a bit stupid.
