Back from work, so what's up?

You do realize that in all the relevant parts of the world, your people and the Russians you hate so much are totally indistinguishable and interchangeable, right?
Nay. Borya can't. Borya sold his ass to commifornia nigger in exchange of safety away from his countrymen and friends he left behind as typical traitor.

Voted worse than expected, Russia has taken too many significant casualties and literally everything pointed towards their worst case scenario is this war lasting 2 weeks tops. If you believe their war plans captured by Ukraine are legit they would be near Lviv by now. Probably because they thought Belarus would actually go along with joining. It's close to being competent, but when you're almost two weeks in and the only major city you captured is Kherson, something is very wrong.

The AnH Invasion thread got me to think exactly this. Then I came here and started to change my mind. Largely because the AnH kept downvoting me every time I said Russia has comprehensible motivations.
AnH gave you downvotes for that? I'd imagine that that wouldn't happen.

Uh, they do. Our gay culture is a manmade horror and if you show it to normal people in conservative countries they're shocked. Even inside the US, people are not all aware that we have sex offenders in clown costumes reading to children in their schools with skirts and no underwear on.
If Biden units India and Pakistan onto the same page about America, clownword is entering ludicrous speed.
If America is as bad as this thread makes it out to be, do you think it's at the point where folks will just be cheering if this country were to completely die and be taken over by China tomorrow? Because that's the impression I'm getting.

Pakistan's views on the conflict are the views that China tells the Pakistanis to have. And the Chinese will use Pakistan on occasions as a proxy voice to say things they do not wish to say directly.
So Pakistan is angling for a spot in China's world order. Because it'll piss off India. Wow that is petty.

Plus China pisses them off with their provocations in the mountains and their ties with Pakistan

Oh if these are the ones who'll stop China from taking over the world.....even Mahatma would have to be impressed.

This somehow ending up in a Ukrainian takeover of Russia would be a perfect clown world ending.
The Clown World ending to the conflict is that by winning and re-incorporating the areas lost in 2014 including Crimea, that Ukraine will return to the horrible political deadlock that existed before 2014-2015. That by winning, the current western Ukrainian groups running Ukraine will create the conditions that will lead to them losing power (again).

Agreed with this.

For Russia at least, this trial by fire is probably going to invoke some serious introspection with regards to their overall organization and tactics. Ivan should be glad that they were only up against Ukraine, and not against, say, Poland, who I feel could stalemate them easily, or even push them back even without the help of NATO.

For Ukraine? Well shit sucks, no matter what. Even if they, by some miracle, manage to sue for a white peace, the country is ruined. Rebuilding is going to be a bitch, and very likely they'll slip into a depression.

So regarding the new poll....

Russia is learning from any setbacks. With every victory / kill the Ukrainians make that same tactic is less likely to succeed in the future. But what about the Ukrainians? Can't they learn from the Russia mistakes?

Sure. But the main issue is that they cannot effectively utilize the mistakes the Russians make. They might get in a few pot shots or two but once the Russian column is ready to go, the losses are just a minor hinderance. Ideally, if they have long range artillery or ground strike aircraft the line of vehicles outside Kiev is the perfect target.

What the Ukrainians need to capitalize on the stuck Russian forces.

Another very effective weapon.

What the Ukrainians actually have.

I am not saying these people are not brave, they are. But even brave and honorable people can die needless deaths just like the men in the charge of the light brigade.

I voted "Competent With Some Upsets". The pro-Ukie side has been making Baghdad Bob-tier outlandish claims that are clearly copium and Noble Lies.

The claims of the Ghost of Kyiyiyiv hoholocausting six gorillion Russian fighters and le brave Resistance pushing the Rooskies back from Kyiv don't gel with the fleeing masses and begging for outside intervention.

What little we're hearing from the Russian side of things sounds reasonable and sober (well, as sober as a vodka monkey can be). And their progress, while slow, is indisputable.

I mean they could refuse. Then the Russian gov can just declare the debt void. It's not like it can hurt trade and banking relations further.

Russia is huge exporter of fertilizer, fuel, and food. The only way we are starving them is if we released a blight on their fields.
Apparently we're already snaking our way into replacing them on fuel to Europe and they've said they were taking it easy on sanctions effecting food supply in russia
