Boy isn't this just modern era in a nutshell right here.

"Hi, we're <company>. There's absolute diddly squat we can do about <current situation> and it completely isn't our business, but here's our two cents on it anyway otherwise some troon with a keyboard might get mad at us on twitter. Now watch us funnel shareholder money into a charity graft blackhole like unicef. We stand with the side that's more popular!"
This is actually a legitimate field of study. It is called CSR (corporate social responsibility) The study is all about how to get the most amount of positive press for the least amount of money.

Wanna displace some African village filled with backwater natives to drill oil? No problem, set up a scholarship program for their kids!

Want to dump boiling hot water back into a lake after having used it to cool your aluminum plant? No problem, build a local park!

It is very hard to for anyone to criticize a company that is helping fund local sports and create jobs and social programs important to your local town. This is why you will see a lot of big companies have their cooperate offices in cities. But the actual production is held in towns just big enough to sustain them with the workers they need.

Here is a list of the top five masters you can get:

If you read any of the titles in the article, the translation is: "I allow companies to get away with shady shit".

I can agree with your reasoning, but its clear for what ever reason the entire west, not just the USA is going hard on this country, there is a reason why. I do not know why nobody knows why, but the fact they are biting down so hard on this and pressing the issue most likely means this is an important fight to take.
You are assuming the people in charge of the West are rational people who are thinking logically. They aren't, their reasons for this are entirely emotional and eschew pragmatism. They are hysterical ninnies.
It's pretty easy to guess why they're freaked out so much. We already know they're up to their necks in dirty dealings with Ukraine, and that's just what evidence we've actually seen. I can only imagine how much more there is to see, and documents like that have an interesting tendency to leak to the world at large when corrupt (and/or puppet) governments get replaced by another corrupt (and/or puppet) government controlled by ideologically opposed people.

i.e. they're criminals dirty enough to make the mafia blush and they're about to get caught red handed and fist-fucked ten ways to Sunday by the Russians (who have every reason to fucking hate these crooks right now) unless they can find a way to stop the invasion and save the current puppet government by some miracle.

Probably already posted, if so I missed it surfing the highlight button. Its from crimea but a bit relevant again given current events. Gave me a chuckle.

I don't want to see NATO troops in Ukraine, I don't think we will, but do you really think that Russia will stop here?
Where do you see Russia going beyond Ukraine? There is nowhere geographically for them to go "after" Ukraine that doesn't involve a head-on war with a NATO member. There are people who push the idea of a Russian invasion of Finland and Sweden, but only IMO trying to stampede both into joining NATO.
The Russians also lack the military strength to go head to head with NATO.

Despite having a migraine, I managed to have myself a thought.

Say the world sends a shitton of stuff to Ukraine. Money, weapons, consumer goods.

Then Ukraine loses and Russia takes over.

Who gets control of all the stuff that was donated?

Moldova, but that's it.

Businesses in Russia have had strict compliance practices in the past 10 years or so where anyone who worked at an office or on "corporate" PC's that were property of the business, you couldn't have any torrents, any pirated software, etc, because there was real risk of an audit taking place and big fines being paid if you were found to be illegally using pirated shit.

Is this a magic spell?
It´s the name of every gas chamber that´s still avaiable in Germany.

See Afghanistan in 2021 for reference and the answer to your question.
Then again, how much of the lethal aid is sexy state-of-the-art toys, and how much of it is hand-me-downs?

Don't forget that the waffle house crew is usually packing, and will shoot a motherfucker for trying to ruin your drunk dining experience.
Wait a minute.

They never stop working, they're not scared of anything, they're always packing heat, and have to deal with drunken disorderlies on a regular basis...

Holy shit, Waffle House employees might be the perfect thing to combat Russians with.
