I thought taking the east and south was the plan all along but propaganda drowned this information out. After doing digging, with how ineffective the Northern front is, I'm beginning to think it's just to tie up supplies and troops, so the land of Novorossiya taken over and formed into a confederacy of puppet states, where Putin will hopefully leave it at that during peace talks. The LPR and DPR have always been Russian puppet states and they tried to do it back in 2014. Don't have to worry about Revolutionary Hell that is Central and Western Ukraine.

See, this is nice because these aren't innocent civilians or even patriotic soldiers fighting bravely for their home country.Fox News has a segment on tens of thousands of foreign volunteers arriving to fight for Ukraine and it could be as many as 100,000 soon. What would the logistics be for Ukraine in feeding, housing and equipping these thousands of foreign volunteers, most of who don't speak Ukrainian and if there is a smidgen of truth to it, could this be an end run around NATO? Just wondering.
The big question mark is how effective this advance actually is. Between the mud conditions and shitty vehicle maintenance, possibly combined with doctrinal issues, the Russian advances have been very narrow pushes along major roadways. Units that are cut off do not appear to be being pressured, and they are taking the opportunity to raise hell in the Russian rear. They're moving fast when they're not being stalled out because somebody Cheeki Breeki'd the lead tank with a Javelin, but it appears to be coming with a near total disregard for flank security, and now it remains to be seen if they can maintain their momentum with all the logistical burdens bogging them down. The Ukranians' reactivated veterans will likely be completing their refresher training in 1-2 weeks, and the first class of crash course conscripts a month after that. I think the fact that Russia's latest round of demands came with no territorial gains beyond the separatist regions shows that they know they can't keep this up forever. That’s a fair point and I’ll cop a plea that it’s late and I’m slightly drunk. Although the Wehrmacht was doing its thing in the Summer.
I’d also have to look up Operation Bagration too (also Summer) which was similarly speedy for the Red Army in 1944.
Still.
I’ll stand by my general premise.
This guy is a Nazi collaborator. He is talking about fighting in the UPA in world War II. He is one of the Ukrainians that followed the Germans all the way back to Berlin in 1945.View attachment 3053988
From the last thread - so I don't know about this guy's specific background, however it seems like he is from Lviv. Lviv was a Polish city at the beginning of WWII. Poland was taken by both Russia and Germany. He may not have fought for the Germans at all, and fought on the Eastern front of Poland against Russia.
That's a recipe for a Grade-A clusterfuck right there. And to think it's only March. This is shaping up to be a hell of a year. Looks like I need to stock up on popcorn.Fox News has a segment on tens of thousands of foreign volunteers arriving to fight for Ukraine and it could be as many as 100,000 soon. I'm still off the opinion that it was not a doomed operation. When planning the operation it was impossible to predict the coldest winter of the century. It was also difficult to predict that reinforcements would arrive from the far east on US supplied locomotives. As the Germans had predicted the majority of Soviet locomotives had been destroyed in air raids in the summer and fall of '41. It is possible that not wasting the Luftwaffe over Britain could have made all the difference in the east.Read this for more contemporary comparisons.
Barbarossa is a poor example because it was doomed to fail from the start, unfortunately.
No one is going to blow up a nuclear power plant, chill. Why would he have to? He's already secured the Nuclear Power Plant, he could just use that a dirty bomb if he had to.
Actually, what would happen if they transported a nuke to one of the cores & blew it up? Would the uranium cores also fissure & feed the explosion & create a bigger fireball?
That's because things have slowed down as Russia tries to figure out what the fuck it's going to do next. For example, judging by articles like this CNN one from yesterday, they're just kind of poking at Mykolaiv with little in the way of a plan to take it, much less move onto Odessa. So we're basically at a lull where Russia just kind of shells cities that it apparently has little or no other way to deal with because it seemingly expected the same reception it got in Crimea and eastern Ukraine in 2014.Feels like the news has slowed down in the past 3 days compared to earlier.
He wins in SC because old people overwhelmingly vote for him. They see him as an old conservative and one of them. Their view of him is locked into 1980-90s Republican party idealism.Lindsey the cunt doubled down on his remarks and he will still get relected in South Caroline
Hope they packed a lunch.Fox News has a segment on tens of thousands of foreign volunteers arriving to fight for Ukraine and it could be as many as 100,000 soon. tbf the idea he actually was like NO I MEAN ASSASSINATIONS is way more balls than I ever expected from the old queenHe wins in SC because old people overwhelmingly vote for him. They see him as an old conservative and one of them. Their view of him is locked into 1980-90s Republican party idealism.
It only became a doomed operation after the entry of the United States into the war made the entire war for Germany doomed.I'm still off the opinion that it was not a doomed operation. It's a little early to call that though considering the Russians have tet to capture Kiev, and they had 60 miles to get thereIt wasn't faster in the Ukraine. The advance rapidly fell behind expectations and it was necessary to divert substantial forces from Army Group Centre to the Ukraine to accomplish the capture of Kiev which was not completed until the end of September 1941.
I don't use Twitter so I have no idea what it means. Please put it in no uncertain terms.I think if you have to ask that question you might have a Twitter problem honestly.
The UPA weren't Nazis though, and didn't side with the Nazis. Him being part of the UPA alone does not mean he's a Nazi. This guy is a Nazi collaborator. He is talking about fighting in the UPA in world War II. He is one of the Ukrainians that followed the Germans all the way back to Berlin in 1945.
Its no surprise that with just a little change in the world situation this kind of guy can go from reprehensible to some sort of hero in the mainstream media.
I'm going off of US military history here so it may mean fuck-all but I'd expect a "lull" to involve consolidation and staging before the next step. I doubt even Russians would just fuck around going "ivan what we do next? is of no welcome party!"That's because things have slowed down as Russia tries to figure out what the fuck it's going to do next. I wouldn't count on Russia's logistics being straightened out either. It would not be surprising if they need a few days to build up the necessary supplies for a push.
yeah just because basically literally all other images of Ukraine resistance include nazi imagery doesn't mean this _one_ guy who fought the Soviets during WW2 for No Particular Group was oneThe UPA weren't Nazis though, and didn't side with the Nazis. Him being part of the UPA alone does not mean he's a Nazi.
Hypothetically if you don't use twitter we shouldn't have a problem anyway.I don't use Twitter so I have no idea what it means. Please put it in no uncertain terms.
