This is very interesting. Was the $145 a barrel during the 2008-2009 recession? The oil embargo(s) of the 1970s? I’m also curious about prices adjusted for inflation to see when getting gas was really at it’s worst (minus actual rationing during war/crisis).In terms of the price of a barrel of oil, the peak price was $145. The current price today is 126.53.
"gas prices" in the US are variable and regional. They are harder to compare.
