The last gas crisis/shortage at least saw the development and popularization of mopeds. So maybe we will get some different retard scooters this time around.

Better hope it wont rain lol.

Re: stocking up on food (can't quote)
Also get honey. Can be used as sweetener and is a natural antibiotic, among other things. If you have access to powdered honey, get some if you have concerns for the long term. Honey never "expires".

Someone earlier posted about no cat food at Publix. I don't know if you were serious or being silly, but I haven't seen wet cat food in several months here. It's easy, albeit a bit messy and smelly, to make your own cat and dog food. And cheaper and certainly healthier.
Cat food is tricky. It can be done but they absolutely need taurine or else they go blind and die.

With how things are going we're going to see a return of the rickshaw with a new gig app so white girls can ride in them and tweet about the black kang pulling them around in their authentic hippie third world shithole that was once the USA. No, I will not take my meds.

Bold of you to assume that the kang in question won’t just eat the white girl.

Feels like many more Europeons are starting to feel that heat, feeling the spice. Rumblings among many of my very normie acquaintances about energy prices, inflation, corruption - even up to including finally doubting the corona narrative and far right extremist conspiracies like muh WEF/Klaus/Great Reset/conspiring elites

Feeling blessed for never talking to anyone except immediate family about stocking up, preparing for harder times. I figure if you're not even receptive to the notion of not spending all of you shit as soon as it hits the bank there's no point in trying and will only result in knocks on my door when times get tough.

Say what you want about them, but the fact that Ukraine's put up enough of a fight for Putin to resort to this (if it's true) is really funny.
Resort to what? Bombing the shit out of cities or surrounding Kyiv instead of storming in? Both of those would be wise moves for any military, even if the American military could accomplish these tasks monumentally more efficiently.

They can also use the main highways in western Ukraine as Air Strips. The MIG, just like the F series in America is designed with the operational requirement of having to take off on a road repurposed as an airfield.

If you are ever driving down an Interstate in America and for some inexcplicable reason it widens out, goes straight and you see a gated exit to nowhere with a "stay out" sign on it, those are the designated emergency airfields. The drive off points in the tree line is where the air force can park its fighters and the interstate is the runway.

The Soviets did pretty much the same thing with their main roads. It's a simple and effective idea.
Other countries also do this. Remember passing by one particular highway strip in Korea.

Also, it's hard to keep an airfield knocked out. There are rapid repair teams to fill craters in airstrips. Can bring in fuel bladders to replace fuel tanks, more tools/parts/maintainers/etc.

It's not letting me reply to you so I'm quoting you manually, sorry if I messed this up.

There's no doubt that the primary reason is Poland not wanting to paint even more of a target on itself, something made exceedingly difficult by pressure from allies who started talking about it as if Poland came up with the idea, and without even consulting it before giving it a "green light". The official communique from Polish ministry of foreign affairs specifically pointed fingers to Blinken's statement for a reason - there's a lot of diplomatic salt conveyed there.
Interestingly, this article (archive) is suggesting that the one who first threw an idea of sending old plane was EU's Borrell, not Blinken

Oh, and if anyone still believing America refuses Poland's offer was because of the state of the plane, if you actually read the announcement, it was because the US rejected the idea of flying them out of Ramstein, probably because Germany is secretly opposing the idea
