Stoltenberg has just warned (declared?) that any Russian attack to NATO supply lines will be a serious escalation of the situation

Might as well be F. Doesn't matter now since the western banking system cut off to them.

Its like that old saying: If I owe the bank $500 I have a problem. If I owe the bank 500 million then the BANK has a problem.
Western banks have zero power to go in to Russia and seize assets. The banks will take a massive haircut on any Russian debt owed just like all the western oil companies who had to just eat the billions from walking away from their stakes in Russian assets.

They got Daddy Xi now to give them loans against their energy and minerals. Any debt owned to China will be paid in oil since the ruble is fucked for now.
If the petrodollar ends up making a comeback, Gaddafi will be laughing from his grave.

So while this thread is circling the wheels until another BIG HAPPENING occurs, I'm going to just go off and state that while Russia is going to break off huge chunks of Ukraine, it's going to be extremely costly for them, even with Chinese help. Because people are going to see what China is doing to aid Russia, and all that anti-Russia hysteria might just start bleeding into anti-China sentiment as well. China is, in all likelihood, going to start taking sanctions up the ass for helping Russia.

The USA can't place sanctions on China for the same reason Germany can't cut off Russian gas. There simply isn't a replacement.

Putin is best off joining the parts of Ukraine that were "pro-Russian" in 2014 or so into a new state ("New Russia"), or just annexing them altogether.
Should straight up insist it’s called Ukrainian and force the world to deal with two cuntries claiming to be Ukraine. For the lols.

The autism that would be "Russian Ukraine" and "Ruthenian Ukraine" would be off the charts.

Honestly Ukraine should just call itself Ruthenia at this point. Or Galicia for that Austro-Hungary feels.

I don't know if it's still MAD doctrine or not, but if we'd ever gone nuclear in the Cold War the plan was that everyone gets hit. The idea was to try and get as close as an "even" restart as possible, so while not everyone would get equally fucked, at least expect your capitol to get vaporized. Nuclear winter and such is a bit overblown, although still a thing it's not as world ending as you'd think. Unless everyone just ground bursts, but all that shit thrown up in the atmosphere isn't going to stay up that long, it's heavier than air.

I'd be willing to bet that if the US and Russia ever launched at least one SSBN would get orders to reduce the Chinese coastal cities to ash.

Well, now that things really are going downhill for Ukraine regarding Kyiv (or Kiev whatever) let's have a discussion regarding Russia's endgame victory lap. Because we don't know if what they claim they want is actually their main goal.

With Kyiv (or Kiev whatever) nearing encirclement within the next couple days, what do you Ukraine's fate will be?
The most rational policy for the Russians is to create a new Ukrainian state to the west of the Dnieper River that will economically be a second Belerus. Poor, landlocked and not economically compelling to anyone. The rest of current Ukraine gets choped up into two new "republics". That policy is vaguely viable based on voting patterns and demographics. The Russians might be tempted to include Kiev in their new creations, but that would be a mistake I think.

The maximal policy would be to defeat in detail the entire Ukranian army and create a new Ukrainian government with basing and treaty obligations to Moscow. This would both expensive and rather difficult. Because its likely that sooner or later, there would be another Ukranian revolution overthrowing whatever the Russians created. There could also be an insurgency.

The other option is a negotiated settlement between Putin and the Oligarchs in Ukraine. Or between the Russian Oligarchs and the Ukranian Oligarchs. (The president of Ukraine is a non-entity). This seems unlikely on paper, but its not impossible given that its in the business interests of everyone involved.

The Ukrainian position now is not great. IMO, the Russians are engaged in a strategy of cutting off and isolating large pieces of the Ukrainian Army from each other. Its as likely that they will continue to advance southward as it is that they will surround Kiev. Encircled or not, the portion of the Ukraine Army in Kiev is trapped and cannot move.

The telling moment will be if or when the Russians move into western Ukraine (or don't move into it). Their reception in terms of resistance and irregular warfare will be a whole lot worse in the western half of the country.

seriously can Ukraine go, like a day or two without literal unironic nazis?
please?
Kinda hard even though they only had 1/3 of the cabinet after the revolution.
So I finally listened to the Mearsheimer talks and there are some surprises there

I didnt know that the ukies were actually going a bit nazi with ukie-russkies forcing them to speak ukranian and shit. Thought the "they are natzis!" shit from the vatniks was just a WWII larp but as it turns out those azov niggers with the black suns are not heckin cute and valid like reddit told me

Also russia has been saying for like 15 years that they are gonna fuck ukraine up for real if the west actually tries to get there. The irony is that neither nato nor the EU wanted ukraine, place its too corrupt, too economically backwards, so all the offers were pure smoke, the ukies were never gonna get shit from the west

And now the ugly part: seems the russian early warning alert system its kinda shit and its prone to false alerts, so much that the burgermutts decided to not do a ballistic missile test recently out of fear that it would make the russkies decide its the Day Of The Grill

Point is theres a possibility that nukes will fly, and between russkies still having the dead hand online and the west no longer caring about shit like fallout shelters and drills WWIII might be worse than it woulda been during the cold war

Nigger you think they're not gonna feel 850 franchises suddenly disappearing?

If he's really dying then they might decide to go out with a blast and take the entire northern hemisphere with him

I feel like for the first time of my life being on the literal ass-end of the planet has its benefits since if all you niggers decide to anhero each other this half of the world will be mostly intact, "mostly" because the kangaroo fuckers in straya and the hobbit island are gonna get nuked because they are part of the five eyes and shit
Movie recommendation for you
"On the Beach"

" After a global nuclear war, the residents of Australia must come to terms with the fact that all life will be destroyed in a matter of months."

Just takes a while for the radiation to meander around.

yeah basically all the shit going into making batteries for your solar and electrics assrape the planet a fuckload more than mining and burning coal
PLUS it's mostly made on coal power. PLUS they're mostly charged on natural gas.
Long story short on charging, MPGe is a very good, very scientific calculation that accurately compares the carbon output at the plant to what you'd be getting in a gas car... until the last step.
The last step is to divide by 0.15 for the "social good of electric vehicles", meaning if charged on fossil fuels, a Tesla is worse on carbon than many trucks and any modern car that's not high output. For those bad at math, the reported number on an electric vehicle is 6.7 times the actual equivalent carbon output stated.

The non-carbon emissions of a gas car are way higher than a powerplant producing equivalent power, but the only one of those that I think needs to be worried about is NOx (combined total of NO1 and NO2) which creates acid rain. CO is monitored, but worrying about it is retarded unless you're operating in an enclosed space. It oxidizes pretty quickly into dioxide. Unburned hydrocarbons are bad, but also bad for fuel economy, which is a selling point, so you don't need to regulate them very much.
Eliminate the other requirements and you can delete catalytic converters which would reduce the cost of cars and you can run lean (lower fuel than a perfectly even burn with oxygen) to save fuel and thus carbon, but that is ACTUALLY bad for the environment.

TL;DR, You can get better fuel economy/carbon emission or get better stats on the pollutants that actually matter, or both but your car costs (significantly) more. The law requires the third option.

I don’t know why Ukraine bothers keeping the heavily pro-Russian areas anyway, it just creates more tension
Most of Ukraine was pro-Russian until the events in 2014. Russia ironically shot themselves in the foot there, if they held off on using their military as a battering ram their rhetoric about the evil West using Ukraine against Russia might have actually held more sway with Ukrainians.

As the current situation demonstrates, even the "pro-Russian" parts of Ukraine aren't all that pro-Russian anymore.

Azov faggots are legitimate psychopaths but I'm pretty sure the "forcing people to speak Ukrainian" is just propaganda. It first started when Russia claimed that Ukraine making Ukrainian the official language of the country was somehow racist towards Russians, even though all it meant was that official state business and shit would be conducted in Ukrainian. You know, kind of how official state business in Russia is conducted in Russian instead of whatever the fuck they speak over in Bashkortostan or something.

going to start taking sanctions up the ass for helping Russia.
Pressing X on that one.
China in feeding the pockets of most DC politicians. They own every Canadian one. They own half of the EU.
They own massive shares in most of Western media. They own shares of our infrastructure.
I am typing this on a Chinese made Dell laptop, thats connected to a Chinese made router that is connected to a Chinese made HFC node etc etc.
When I wake up in the morning I get coffee from my Chinese made coffee machine and drive my car full of Chinese made electronics and plastics to work. Your reading this post on a Chinese made computer or cellphone.

China and the west are stuck in a M.A.D. relationship now. We need them to make everything. And they need us to keep consoooming.
If we get in to an economic dust up with them they could just start doing things like telling Apple that next iPhone is going to be delayed 6 months. Or those EFI computers you need for your auto industry are 18 months out now. And it wont hurt them because they will make you pay full price when it does come in. What are you going to do? Nothing. Its not like you can pick up your whole supply chain and move it to someplace else. Wall Street and the consooomer wont want to pay for domestic manufacturing.

I think this ends with a big chunk of Ukraine now Russia. And Russia becoming just as co-dependent on China as the USA is now.
Western Europe is going to take it right up the ass with food and energy prices and America will continue on its steady decline.

I pity future generations of Russians who will never know the feeling of a greasy asshole after a shit.
Funny, all I’ve heard about future generations of Russia was that they’d be some of the biggest chads ever with the based mindset to reject anything globohomo while the bans and sanctions will lead to future Russians being perfectly healthy in body and mind with a love and pride for their homeland and their heritage that the West sorely lacks, instead of always looking to The State to solve their every problem.

I just see a future where Russia is a powder keg of hatred thanks to things CSKA Moscow not being able to play in the Champions League or Russia not being able to go to EURO or the World Cup or not being able to hear their anthem at the Olympics, even if that’ll also mean no Big Macs. Or any of these bad boys. https://www.thetravel.com/best-mcdonalds-food-russia/amp/

Wonder if a new section of the Russian Army will be nothing but fry cooks and cashiers out of a job with their commanding officer being whoever owns the franchise.
