I've heard that fire concerns were the reason NASA developed a space pen too, TBH. However, the way Fatty says it, that space shuttles would DEFINITELY catch fire and everyone would die, is complete bullshit. Even back then, it was just a concern about a possibility, not a guarantee, which is why the Soviets got away with using pencils. The fears proved to be overblown.

Props to JerkStoreJ on the ONA forums, fatty got a restraining order against the kiwi ween who went to his bar a little while ago. Considering how the guy didn't do anything illegal and admitted it was drunken joshing around, this will be mostly a waste of time and money on Pat's part

From the look of it, they both made comments that could be interpreted as threats of physical harm, but Fatty's comment comes off more directly as such. If he pushes this hard enough and Andrew decides to hit back (it sounds like he's not going to take this lying down), he could find himself in a bit of trouble. Most likely though the cops will be looking for the quickest solution that gets both these guys out of their hair. Probably tell them to just drop it, with some vague threats that if they don't they could both get slapped with charges.
Normally they would. It seems pretty easy to get a restraining order, because, as I said above cops don't like to spend too much time dealing with this shit and it's usually the path of least resistance. But Andrew actually showing up with legal counsel and contesting it changes that. As I said above, since Andrew isn't just going to take this, the cops will probably threaten both of them with some vague consequences and urge them to just drop everything. Whether they do will largely depend on Fatty and how stubborn he decides to be about finally getting some kind of legal vengeance (however small) on a atalker.

How does that even work? Patrick says Andrew and himself sent each other some mean texts then Andrew went to a bar he wasn't even at and a judge grants this order because why now? I could maybe see this one sneaking by unopposed... But even then doesn't the judge say "let me see those texts you were so afraid of that I need to enter a protection order, son"?

In my area judges will grant a TRO for a lot of reasons if there is even the appearance of impropriety, they treat it like a beefed up police report when there is some evidence of wrongdoing, any evidence, even Fat’s word. Seeing as the other fella wasn’t there to contest it the TRO was granted.
Getting a longer term one, on the other hand, is generally harder and requires more scrutiny, more evidence of something bad happening.

I'm not sure how many people remember Pat's original filing in his idiotic lawsuit, but he absolutely has no problem with outright lying to the court and submitting falsified evidence. The best example of this is his idiotic vandalism video.
