The world would certainly be a better place with the influence of more Swat Kats, but I'm not certain if it would have been enough to turn the tide. Something to think about, though...it really was the last action cartoon in the USA. After SwatKats you didn't see any more military or action shows, not with anything like 'realistic' combat or weapons, no explosions or guns, and certainly not with a serious tone like the show had.

Every show after treated combat as a joke, a laugh, and the conflicts were resolved (unrealistically) through dialogue and empathy - even with brainless monsters.

That’s a tricky one. I think official languages should be done on a state by state basis, as certain regions of the country do have a centuries-long multilingual history, like the southwestern states where up to have very large native Spanish-speaking populations or Louisiana with French. New Mexico handles it’s official bilingualism pretty well. Of course this isn’t the case in say, New England.

Last week the British foreign secretary Liz Truss said that she 'absolutely supports' British citizens who want to go to Ukraine and fight Russia. Link here.

Today the British transport secretary Grants Shapps says it is illegal for Brits to go and join the war. 'You can't just get up and go.' Link here.

There are a whole load of (retarded) British volunteers in the Ukraine right now and they can justifiably (and retardedly) point at Liz Truss' statements to say that they went under false (and retarded) pretences. They can say that they were at best misled about their government's opinion of them and their actions and at worst entrapped by a British cabinet member's comments. How many of them could legitimately say that they would never have gone if they had felt that the government didn't support their actions? I know they're retarded but that's hardly a crime. I'd have been threadbanned long ago if that was the case.

Truss needs to be tarred, feathered and used to clear minefields.

This came after Putin made a televised remark that "none of the Russian soldiers in Ukraine are conscript, all of them are contract soldiers, and will always be"

I don't buy the ww3 hype. Western countries are too cucked to risk hundreds of deaths, nevermind tens of thousands that will occur from a huge scale military action.

Russia is already struggling against a small country, they wouldn't deplete everything else on fighting the entire world. Ditto China has only to lose from getting involved with any side.

Nukes are out of the question, the west has no reason to be as desperate and Russia will commit suicide doing it (when the entire point is conquering a small-ish area).

Zelensky is pretty much demanding that NATO step in and effectively make this the start of WWIII proper, because he has to know that Russia's been violating airspaces with NATO members for years.
