I've already stated in the thousands-page long other thread that I don't think this will turn out for Russia the way the people attacking them want it to. I think they will manage. If you are just arguing the resentment that will grow, that is reportedly the case, though it is becoming more dangerous to dissent there and a lot of the people who didn't agree with the war are being cut off from social media to tell us otherwise so who really knows?

That isn't a fitting analogy, for a number of reasons. Maybe if you phrased it like 'would you let the other states retake California from globohomo' then maybe it'd work better.

My preference would be for globohomo and Russia to leave Ukraine alone so they can do what they want, but that isn't happening. The globalist elite want to convert the Ukraine territory fully into a zombie state, Russia has opposed this historically through diplomatic means. They are now using a more forceful form of diplomacy.

They might also still have fuel to cool from the other Chernobyl reactors, that were online until not too long ago.

There's over 21,000 spent fuel assemblies still on-site at Chernobyl NPP that need active cooling that are being transferred to a permanent off-site storage facility that provides adequate passive cooling to basically keep the stuff safe indefinitely (they claim at least 100 years). The transfer will take 8 years (lol) and doesn't include Unit 4's buried treasures.

The reactors themselves have all been shut down since 2000. Units 1 through 3 are being decommissioned, with work on unit 1 well underway and expected to be finished this year. Unit 4 is a special case and beyond the scope of the "regular" decommissioning work on units 1, 2 and 3 (for obvious reasons).

The spent fuel has got some easily-panicked people worried since on-site power has been cut and think even a moment of no circulation means Fukushima Mk. 2 because they're dumb. The spent fuel pool at Fukushima had a capacity of at least 1,300 tons of water while the fuel assemblies themselves needed about 500 tons to cover them (so there was a buffer of 800-900 tons). If that water was actually hot enough to boil (it likely wasn't), it would evaporate 70 tons per day and boil through the "buffer" in 11 days. The remaining water would still provide at least some cooling until it boiled away, then the fuel would start melting down. No radiation release would occur until the buffer boiled away.

The spent fuel at Chernobyl has been chilling in cooling pools for 21 years now, and it's nowhere near as hot as Fukushima's spent fuel was, plus their cooling equipment is actually operational and undamaged and has backup generators to keep it running, with enough fuel for at least two days of continuous operation. Rationing will stretch it further. They've got a long way to go (i.e. months) before the spent fuel at Chernobyl becomes a crisis and with as much international attention as the plant's takeover has gotten, whoever ultimately ends up in control of it will be highly motivated to stabilize it long before it starts mutating the local fish again.

So, uhhh, the recent news about ruskies bombing a fucking kids hospital feels like a psyop to me. Usually I don't try to find a psyop in everything, but this shit glows.

So, according to residents of Mariupol, said hospital, (particularly the part of the building that was shelled) was under some renovation project and there were no patients. Idk, most hospitals still work when they are under construction.

Then, some people claimed that majority of patients were sent home on the first day of the invasion, so there were no civies when the site was shelled. Seems legit, since most hospitals did the same when war started. Still, they still take in emergency patients and pregnant women, so there is a chance that there were civilians in the hospital.

Also, there is a rumour that the hospital was taken by Ukrainian marine brigade (sorry, bros, it's not Azov this time), and they set up an HQ there. Hiding behind civilian infrastructure is something that a lot of armies would do, in my opinion. An asshole move? Yes, it's very cynical. Will it work? Probably yes, and even if the enemy attacks you, they will look like monsters.
This also seems to be true, since Russians released drone photos of Mariupol, and it seems that Ukies take civilian building to hold their positions.

There is also the fact that Z made a video mere hours after the shelling even though he rarely does so. Makes you think, huh?

Dunno if it's truly a psyop, but there is some holes in this story. And I'm still inclined to believe that Russians can bomb a fucking child hospital, with motherfucking children, babies and goddamn pregnant women inside. They are Ruskies, after all.

Because it was concluded in the late 1940s that democracy on a large scale was an unworkable system. That any actual democracy or open society would eventually transform itself into another Nazi Germany. That rather than having a dangerous true democracy, it was necessary to put in place a system of managed democracy. Information available to the public would be strictly controlled through government-granted media monopolies working in partnership with the government. An official political opposition would be allowed to exist, but its function would be to oppose rather than rule. But any outliers would not be allowed to communicate to a mass audience nor would they be allowed to participate in politics.
Entertainment monopolies would also be granted (again) in exchange for a cooperative relationship with the government. That cooperative relationship would involve pushing the right messages to the public and ensuring that the wrong messages never reached the public.
The system is occasionally tinkered with but largely remains the same. The last major revision was in the later 1970s when a system of social controls based on "debt" was established. What was discovered in the 1960s was that most people could not be trusted with personal freedom. That would invariably make the wrong choices. So a system of debt-based controls was established. The debt (housing, education, etc) constrains the choices the individual can make in their own lives and (in the united states) often subjects the individual to intergenerational control. Parents co-sign loans which gives them financial power over children. The gradual increase in the size of home mortgage debt and higher education debt was no accident of economics. it was a deliberate choice by governments.
