One of many opinions that he doesn't stand alone on, but doesn't get away with because of context. It's exactly what's expected of him, and not for good reasons, like the predictable takes are from many others. Like I don't imagine Smug is excited about the idea either, but you don't expect him to say anything in particular, you know?
Once again, his emotions always running the show fuck him over. It would be so much better for him to just keep things short and sweet and stick with the right kind of likable opinion. For example, when someone asks about EVO, it's not hard for an adult to say "Yeah, I saw. Cool that SNK is getting some respect, it historically doesn't. And I know the Granblue fans are celebrating, which is cool. Should be a fun time."
Nothing insightful or unique there, but it works to keep people off your case, no? The fact that Phil can't do that speaks volumes about how childish and stupid he is. He goes right for "bratty little fuck", all the time.
