What culture has the worst cuisine?

I don't know. I'm American and I always thought of it as hot dogs, hamburgers, macaroni & cheese and an intense compulsion to smother everything in cheese. I don't actually eat those dishes and was always grossed out by them.
Seriously, have you not tried regional stuff from the south, New England, or Louisiana? Properly done creole and cajun dishes are a taste of heaven...

The Middle East probably has the worst desserts out of any culture I’ve tasted from to date. I do not for the life of me understand what they see in baklava but I have tried and utterly failed to enjoy it about half a dozen times before giving up and coming to the conclusion that I don’t like it despite being served everywhere from Morocco to Pakistan.

Everything else is either weirdly savory and full of nuts or just plain sticky. Arabs should just admit that the West perfected desserts centuries ago.
As someone from the Middle East, you're dead wrong. You haven't had things like kunefe, gaz, or bastani. Some pictures to demonstrate:

Worst is probably stereotypical burger food, like pizza, hamburgers and the like. Way too greasy for me.

... gaz ...
Gaz?
Although originally believed to be sap manufactured by the Tamarisk tree, the sticky white substance was found to be formed from honeydew, which is exuded from the anus of the nymph of a psyllid insect, either Cyamophila astragalicola[5] or C. dicora,[6] in its final instar, which live on plants of Astragalus adscendens,[5] and is collected annually and is combined with other ingredients including pistachio or almond kernels, rosewater and egg white.

Insect buttjuice candy? Sorry, boss, back on the worst cuisine list for me.

The actual Burger name is Persian Dougat, but everyone around me calls it Gaz. It's good with Tea or in general, besides the shit you get from McDonalds is full of GMOs and microplastics, this is definitely better for you then that.

@Cats

I've had similar experiences with African food. I once lived in a boarding house with a Cameroonian family. The mother would hog the communal microwave oven for large swaths of time to cook this large root-like thing, sometimes mashing it up when cooked. Sometimes it would smell fine, like potatoes with a hint of horseradish, but other times it would stink up the whole dining room with a pungent, fetid smell.

I don't know if it was the root or the seasoning either, but I lean towards the latter because that asafoetida you mentioned is a green-tinted exotic spice that smells horrible unless properly cooked. That fits with my testimony of it sometimes fumigating the entire first floor, but asafoetida is used in India and the Middle East, not West Africa though maybe it was imported?

Indian food is pretty bad. The exported stuff like lamb curry, naan bread, samosa etc. is ok. But everything else is like flavour overload, too much spices, too sour…

I can find nothing redeemable about British and American food except roast chicken/turkey (+cranberry sauce/stuffing) and maybe…steak...and porridge. These cultures have almost have no cuisine to call of their own. (let’s not pretend the English breakfast isn’t a commercialised tourist trap, it’s just normal food! and black pudding is bad)

In this thread I feel like Asian food is like generalised, Asia is really big so there is many different cuisines even within each district.

Plus there's a lot singling out of foods that is not representative of the entire cuisine. I don't think most Asian people eat piss eggs, I remember trying Peking Duck and really liking it! And Spanish tapas is pretty tasty.

Plus if it's tasty, even if its weird, anything goes; beaver anal gland vanilla flavoring, maggot cheese, shit coffee, chicken embryo, haggis etc.

How can you forget falooda? Shit's the bomb on a hot summer day.
Ah a fellow sand monkey. Yeah that's also good as well, I just listed my favorites up there. Eurofags and Burgers can't appreciate a dessert that isn't just flavorings and corn syrup. Fuck, I really could go for some bastani right now.

Agreed. Arabic desserts are great, mafroukeh is amazing.

This is pure sin. It stains cooking ware as easily as it stains the soul. And the "curry smell" that haunts peoples' very existence. I've cooked good things that use both but it isn't worth the cost of salvation.
Gaz?

Food products like anything pink from Starbucks or McDonald's are dyed using crushed insects. You're eating the bugs one way or another.

I dont understand why people are opposed to Slavic dishes, I love every single one I've made. The only thing they lack are roasted meats. I'll destroy some dumplings, borscht, radish salad, smoked sprats on black bread and pork&carrot stew etc. I'm going to make a beet salad perhaps one of the "cursed" ones with gelatine once it warms up.
Russian spice cookies with a little sugar glaze are absolutely fantastic too, I left some fresh baked ones out for my local fire department for an inspection.

I despise Greek food. Nothing good has come out of Greece. I think the only thing I liked from it was the baklava and the loukoumades and that was it.
Then again when I used to be at culinary school, it wasn't the best so maybe that's why? I do not miss that nasty ass tzatziki sauce, or eggplant this, or lemon pinenut that. Just thinking about the smell kinda churns my stomach not gonna lie.

brit expat here, everyone likes to shit on british cuisine but it's got that "[current year] but still cooks like a poor shepherd with no electricity" charm to it. I've got some real fond memories of eating pan fried liver and brussels sprouts

That out of the way- American fast food. In N' Out was meant to be this big thing to try and it made me ill first time I tried it, love the country but you cunts just put anything in your cooking

Americans literally invented the cheeseburger. We're called burgers for a reason. And while it may be unhealthy, there are TONS of varieties of burgers that are absolutely delicious. Also, Chicago dogs, chili dogs, Philly cheesesteak, various southern fried foods, etc.

Middle Eastern food is extremely overwhelming to the senses. Like if I take a bite of a Paki dish or something I can only taste one thing about it, same with Indian food. Call me uncultured but when I eat a nice dinner complete with side dishes, I want to be able to make out the different tastes of it, not just thick spice.

American Mexican food is bland. Anywhere that isn't Southern California, Southern Arizona or Mexico itself? You're probably getting the bastardized American version that's been dulled down to be more palatable for white hipsters with BC glasses.

Vietnamese and Thai people chow down on literal larvae on skewers and shit regularly.

Food from the British Isles is bland but stomachable.

Going off this list, I'd rank any SE Asian country where street vendors sell fried insects as having the worst cuisine.

A former co-worker of mine was a frail, 70 year old incestuous vegan from India. He would always smell horrific even when he wasn't blowing up the breakroom and bathroom with his lunchbox shit.

Indian cuisine is disgusting regardless of if it is authentic or an imitation. Drowning starchy vegetables into a curry of cumin, cinnamon, chili peppers, tumeric, and ginger is overpowering. Not to mention they're usually averse to beef and pork.
